I had the box and no one will ever see it again as I threw it off a cliff, there were no darn laser projectors in there and well I just lost it I was hoping to get my first real laser projector and it didn't happen so I got mad and threw it in the ravine :p

How have you guys been lighting those strips?
 
If you mean the mg strips, blow torch or lighter. Blowtorch is faster, obviously. I bet you could use a laser too, focused properly, with maybe a dark mark on the strip
 
The "travelling container" has finally arrived! My spidey senses have been tingling all evening sifting
through the layers of stuff.

The uranium marbles are all gone. That's no big deal to me since I have had bad experiences with
radiation in the past. I haven't had my marbles in quite some time now, and wasn't planning on getting
more any time soon.

All the custom focus adapters are gone. AMC7135 are gone.

All the yrafrf that no one loved are all scratching and rubbing on each other, if not actually broken. In
the same vein, there are a few grains of uranium marble that broke off hanging around.

I do have some questions about some of the stuff - something better left to PM with the ones who added
it. :beer:

I got a lot of useful stuff from this box. Hope the rest of you are as well!
 
Sounds disappointing. I have some good stuff to add to the box, but was hoping to find something of value to me as well. Well, I'm about 4 people away from my turn and will keep an open mind and a good thought, as well. I hope the rest of the people ahead of me will get something of value to them.
 
I've been doing some testing on various things in the box tonight to find out what works and what doesn't.
"Trimming the fat," if you will. I'm also doing my best to update the list and crossing out things that are
no longer in the box.

The LPC that was pressed into the threaded module had a severed bond wire. The stuff attached to it
still works, though so I might put that back in.

2 small LEDs were burned out. Checked for IR, there was nothing.

There will be more updates as things progress.
 
Just did some quick and rough calculations and it appears the box has been on its journey now for 73 days and has an average time of 8.1 days per person. Not bad when considering we were shooting for a week turnaround per person. I suspect I should get it back in about another two and a half months if lucky. It will be very interesting to see if any of the original items are remaining.

I had out some various cones of Pachouli, Frankincense, and other incense in little pouches for people to make smoke for laser photography and what not. I'm just curious if there is any of this stuff floating around in the box and if anyone had the chance to burn some. It was one of these gifts you receive when a friend goes on a trip far away and brings things back. I found it too strong myself so it seemed like a good and relevant place to put it would be this box. Hope somebody enjoys it.

Did the tube preamp ever get built?

Just curious. Hope everyone is still having fun with this.
 
Yeay!!!! After Andrew gets it I will be third in line. I sincerely hope that there is something of value to me in the box, as I have many very nice things to put into it and don't want to feel left out by people who may have taken much more things of value than they returned to the box. It was sounding that way a couple days ago. Here's to an open mind and many good thoughts.
