First LPM test with green handheld >1W

I didn't doubt your meter. I doubted your method to accurately measure how much of your output is infrared.

Ah, when you mentioned 1.2W from a handheld I thought you were talking about a pen like pointer, that laser looks very capable of high powers :p
1.2W has been achieved in handheld green lasers before, so with good crystal 1.4W peak isn't unbelievable :)

You will want to move the laser back from the sensor to 20-30cm, the heat from the laser will affect readings when it's that close; also make sure it's centered on the Ophir.

ah, ok :) yes i know, thats the russian method of measuring the infrared. (dont take it serious guys from ru) ;)
but there was an ir coated glass extra to the module wich i built in the laser.

Do you know if there is a IR filter in that laser

Where did you buy that laser ?

do you guys read at all? yes its ir filtered.
i did a short test this morning from 10-12cm distance with no change in the results (1485mw peak). i´ll do more tests today with 20-30cm distance, but since the laser wasn´t even warm i dont think it will change the results.

This is pretty amazing laser. I would love to see more about how you built it! I know its a module in a dragon laser host but would like to see more because this is impressive!!

okay... if your eyes hurt that much when reading, i´ll take pity on you (is that a correct sentence? my english is a little rusty)

i just said something because half of the thread we were talking about that and people keep asking the same questions;)

Thank you. I didn't catch the module link earlier. Please, pardon my incredulity. Those familiar with the claims made around here will understand. I didn't realize we were talking about a full-on module, rather that a pen style module.

That's a pretty impressive laser, indeed.

....so is it IR filtered? Where did you get this laser?

:tinfoil:

I'm joking :) That's a nice handheld you have there, take good care of it :p
