Donating to LPF

I've been donating even though I haven't been here. Can't understand why people can't even give a buck. If you are getting something out of the site give something back.

I'm sure that some members just can't afford it...
I remember making collections to help some financially
strapped members out.
Guilting members into making a donation is perhaps
not the way to go... IMO

Agreed, nobody is obligated to donate at all. I'm not being biased, I've donated a couple times myself. There's a big difference between paying and donating. The forum is made available completely for free through advertisements and donating is only extra. Those who don't donate at all are not doing anything wrong, like Jerry said may even be having money troubles.
 
For me personally if I peruse a forum and find good info from a solid group of core members contributing knowledge I feel compelled to throw something in the pot.

So far I've saved a bundle here at LPF! ;)

I Kidd, I joke. I donated after being a member less than a day on account of the overwhelming response I received from making a post in the Welcome section and amount of good reading I discovered.

The amount and frequency I donate is proportionate to how much I am involved with a forum, I'd like to think that's what most folks feel is appropriate.
 
Yep, can't donate too often. But whenever I have some spare cash in my paypal, I do donate it to the forum. It is very valuable to a lot of people.
 
I started donating 15 bucks a month, but as much entertainment as I get out of this place, more now.
 
Most members are young, or students, and can't give 15 bucks a month, I understand that, even two to three bucks is worth giving. Doesn't matter how much.

I just sent in my first donation today. I figured it had been too long and I've gotten too much from this rather niche forum to not help it out. Many donations of small amounts are probably more fruitful and easier on people, so please join me in what you can! :beer:
