Does Anyone Know if Dino Direct is any good?



Well, my 1000mw blue laser finally came in. I have no way to measure its output, but it burns very nicely, and the build quality is superb. It doesn't rattle and it is sealed with o-rings everywhere possible. I really can't complain for what I paid. ($112.00). So I'd say its worth it if you can deal with crappy customer service and a super long wait. DinoDirect isn't so bad after all guys.... :p

I didn't want to be 1st hehehe. Scamming is WRONG even if Dino is a POS seller.:tsk:

Why this if it was an honest mistake "So they are easy to scam haha"

Haha let me be more specific. It was working, stopped working cause some trash fell onto the battery contact inside, so I sent a video, but then after I sent the video I looked inside and saw the trash the next day, but they had already sent me a new laser. So my point is that they are pretty reasonable if one of their products do not work shortly after your purchase.

I ordered a laser from Dino on 11/25. everything has gone to hell since. It supposedly shipped on 12/9 and USPS never received it. I have sent emails, PM's and tonight 45 minutes of useless chat with them. I asked for reshippment a week ago and they thought I had received it......... Go figure. I have only a few days remaining until I start a dispute and they are clueless.
I have ordered from a number of companies located in China and NEVER had problems like this. I've left my phone number over 30 times and no call.
I give DinoDirect(ly) a negative as a supplier. Their web page is a whirlpool of confusion and IF you get a chat, good luck. :eg:

Update: 1/10/11 --- It shipped in 2 days and I got the tracking number.

oh well seems dino is not too great afterall

I will remain with o-like until they fail me and so far so good they manage to responce to all my msn chat... no complaint... oh i'm fr Malaysia not from China by the way

i just got a Q for you, when they shipped your laser did you recieve a T&T #?
mine got shipped 26-12 but no T&T # yet.

i ordered a few thing in a different order and that package just came in!
some batteries and some "benchmade" and "spyderco" knifes ( fake duh )

now im just waiting on the laser, i know with christmass and so on shipping takes longer and some countries even raised the check-ups @ customs wich would make things slower.
hope this is the case for you and me and we both get our laser eventually.

when i send them a Q i got a decent answer within 3 days, but how they handled your emails is absolutely horrible...certainly not the way how companies should work....

anyway hope thing do work out for you!

I bought 3 x 2 starcap lasers from them, 2 of the three packages have already
arrived, waiting for the third one...
In one of the package they sent me two coupon cards that expired before I even ordered.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
 
they are crap, i have a PayPal case going against them (as 100's of others do, see thier forums) . Dont waste your time.
 
you can rather feed the fish your money, at least they can maybe eat the paper. then you wont waste it like on dinodirect.

It is good that at least one member got a phone call but they sure won't call me.

After over an hour of fighting with a dino yesterday, Not One call, Not One email, Not One shipping notice today --- NOTHING from Dino. However, IF I ever get that Laser, I will post an honest review. I doubt I will ever see the laser or my $.

The replacement shipped in 2 days. They heard me and pushed it.

I had to do a few phonecalls to china for my work, a 5min talk ended up being a 2hour talk....:undecided:

My laser was ordered 26-11 and said to be shipped 26-12-2010 but still no tracking id.... did ask for it yesterday, hope i get a decent answer atleast...

If i get the laser i will do a review to, honest opinions to ofcourse

Would be really bad publicity for them if they screw up orders like this....

Might i ask what laser you ordered?

Start that dispute and do it now before it is to late....;)
 
This company is on my shitlist after their "Christmas 50% off sale" where they jacked up their prices 50-75% before applying the discount. I hope when their advertising contract is up it is not renewed. They make LPF look really bad IMO.
