hi all, please only post critical error in this thread. for example, any database error messages


we can have a separate thread for less severe issues but lets just use this one for troubleshooting the most serious errors
 





the default login form at top-right semms to dont work properly.
i resettet my pw again today but loging in with the new mailed one results in wrong-pass error message. only loging in with the "change pw" link in the mail, with the box in the MIDDLE of the page, worked
but now after changing the small one mentioned works too...
 
Sent messages aren't getting saved I believe. Don't think its been mentioned yet.
 
Could be same thing Xer0 mentioned.... everything in my user CP that I set yesterday has disappeared. The only thing I have updated today is my avatar.

private messaging, big bug

if you have more than 50 PM in your PM box the vbulletin system will tell you have exceeded the 50 PM limit, but when you delete messages to keep them under 50 then you get that you have 49 out of 8000~ limit.

Worst is that I need to PM jake21 and I can't since I get an error message saying he have exceeded the limit.

Fix this please
 
I also have money up in the air, and I can't seem to contact anyone.. I'm not sure that my messages are even being sent. Any idea when this will be resolved? I'm not at all interested in being unable to track my transactions, regardless of how much better the features of this new forum are supposed to be. I'd also prefer not to lose out on any deals either. Apparently it's kind of lacking in the "useful PM service" department.
 
PMs still not working. I really need to be able to stay in contact here, and the ability to send PMs is crucial. As I just said, I can't afford to lose my ability to keep track of any transactions here, so I hope that restoring PM service will be THE top priority. There are other members here who rely on PMs to do business as well, and if their PMs are also not working, I'm sure it's causing problems for them as well.

I really think that an extended "beta test" phase would have been extremely beneficial. That way we wouldn't have to try to work these bugs out at the member's time and expense.

I appreciate the time and effort that C0ldshadow and shadowvale have invested into this new forum, but I hardly think that any new features are worth the frustration that most members are feeling right now. Personally, I would gladly give up slightly more efficient searches to have the old forum back.

Cannot edit attachments from before the "move"

I cannot find a way to change an attachment on a post from before 5/1/2009.

The "Manage Attachments" button is missing (see the attached pictures).

This was mentioned elsewhere, but it is critical.

All links pointing to posts in the "old" forum just bring up the home page in the "new" forum.

I (and many others) spent a great deal of time trying to link topics together to get things better organized and allow people to find the information they need.

All this has been destroyed.

This is also true of course for any links in from outside websites and google searches.

It should be possible to insert a lookup table in the software that resolves the old links into new ones.

Until fixed, I expect this will cause a hit to your ad revenue, since many people found LPF through Google searches that gave them the information they were looking for. Now they will just find a dead link.
 
@c0ldshadow or shadowvale: I noticed you sent me a "test" pm, which I did receive. I tried to send one out myself, but upon sending it, there is no confirmation and the message does not show up in my sent messages folder. I don't know if they are even going out due to this lack of confirmation..

In your profile, under "Edit Options" you can check
Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder

That is not checked by default.

that helped a TON, although I think maybe that should be enabled by default.. less confusion that way.
 
hey cold i dont know what you did but my layout looks just like it used to well almost i like it now
 
Something strange happen. The group i made has dissappered(scanner group) and i am not joined to any of the other groups
 
the bug with the PMs is the one I alredy stated, just look at my post.
