Are you getting that folder?
Not quite sure which folder you're talking about, Jay... (that's my review of my Böker V&D...).

I've already arranged to meet a Microtech dealer in Miami. Along with MT's current product line, he's got a mint 4th Gen L.C.C. D/A... :D

Don't laugh, mine's pretty fat - it's about as fat as a knife can be & still fit in a pocket, lol. My "Officer" is 32mm wide and has over 30 tools (incl. pen, micro screw-driver, etc.).

***EDIT***
Here is my collection, Kershaw is by far my favorite band.
Nice collection, Tony. So which one's your favorite & why?

Oh! :crackup:

I just glanced at the link and thought it was a really nice sale page because the pictures were so professional looking!

Nice review as always...

Ahhhhhhhh MicroTech, I have about a dozen knives from them, many models I have more than one of cause MT has the habit of discontinuing them. If he has good prices, I'd stock up on some of them if I where you. The UTX70 is a nice carry knife, I like it much better than the Troodon.

Why? I'm pretty much aiming for the Troodon. At first, I wanted the combat Troodon, but that's just to big for my taste... .

In the meantime, I picked up another "local" knife (Böker Solingen)...

It's not a D/A, but a very sweet single-hand folder, the Exskelibur I :D

Maybe it's just me, but it's hard to open & close and eats the skin off my thumb; the UT doesn't.

Fair enough! I'm struggling with the liner lock on my V&D but it's a breeze to "operate" on the Exskelibur... .

Fortunately I'll be meeting him in person and will have the rare opportunity to try everything out first hand :)

Here's a quick pic of some of my auto knives;

The top one in the pic I just bought last week, it is a PIRANHA PIR6 BODYGUARD; it is a side opener and was on sale for $100.00. It is super snappy & razor sharp, I liked it so much I went back and got the all black tactical version of it too. If your looking for a side opener, I highly recommend this knife, it's a real keeper and carries very well.

The next one is a MicroTech Trooden D/E Satin Plain.

3rd from top is a MicroTech UltraTech D/E Satin Plain (I love the way this one fires & carries)

4th and on the bottom is a MicroTech QD Scarab D/E Satin Plain.
(this one is the normal production one with the skate tape, I prefer the smooth handle of the Executive model I posted earlier; but those were very limited)

PIRANHA also has a CA legal version too.

Yea I know it's suppose to be grip tape, but everyone on the knife forums refers to it as "skate tape" because of it's very harsh grit.

Here's the link to the Piranha's you've asked for;

I didn't even know they banned switchblades cause I got like 10 of them. :whistle:

I wouldn't carry anything with a blade over 4in. here in Florida. The cops tend to be pretty strict about that at least in central Fl. I had a $50 benchmade with a legal 4in blade and the cops still took it! I had to prove in court that it was within the legal 4in size from my sales reciept, huge mess and waste of time, but I never got the knife back. They claimed it had been removed from evidence and destroyed. I'm sure the cop that took it is carring it around still, it's been about eight years though.

Well that really sucks, did you have a permit? Your not restricted on the size of the blade you can carry with a permit; w/o you can buy a large blade, but can't carry it.

No, I didn't have a permit, I was only nineteen or twenty at the time. The law says you can carry a 4in blade or less as long as its not concealed, unless you have a concealed permit and I did not but I had it on my belt which should have been fine. Try telling that to a rookie cop though, they know everything.
