CONTEST...Win an LPC-826 NOW GOING THRU MAY 25th

Yep, my prizes I would be happy to donate didn't cost but like 7 or 8 bucks

Alright, but to a hobbyist they possess quite a bit of value. I stand by my statement that there should be more rounds to this contest so that more people will benefit and there'll be more entries, but alright.

My build is basically finished. Just need to photograph it & suchlike. It's nice! I'm pleased with it. :)

More contest would be OK, I still have more stuff. :san:

But I dont think we should divide these prizes.

And we all know these items have some worth to the community. Thats why they are prizes.

More contest would be cool. I just want to show off my stuff and I figured this would be a cool way to do it and maybe have a shot at getting some cool stuff ;)

Hey Chip, this is a great idea. Thanks for coming up with this and a big thanks to all who donated!!!

I've had a simple, but different, build sitting in my desk for almost a year. I think it's time to put it together and see what happens!!!

EDIT: Well, I just re-read the first post. So I'd have to had the build post started as of April 29th? Oh well, maybe next contest...

no, that was just the start date. you can enter anytime now though when the contest ends, and i will post that on post 1 too just everybody is clear...

i might as well enter this. while waiting for parts for my PGL, i decided to make a host for the 75mW green module. i sat down in front of a computer, opened up corel, and designed the host. i then cut it out on a 50W co2 laser cutter. after that, i spent a few weeks tweaking the host and making everything work just right. it doesn't offer any heat sinking, so short duty cycles are a must but it is definitely interesting. the wood panels go well with the acrylic skeleton and the battery clip lights up the logos when the laser is on.

Tesla, make sure you get some better pics and to be officially entered you need to make a tutorial thread.

michael.

sorry, i missed the part in the rules where it had to be started by the start date. this project (while it hasn't been discussed here before) was done before the competition.
sorry,

it did not have to be started by the start date. it just has to be finished by the end date. you missed that part too. go read post 1. if you still have questions regarding the rulse feel free to pm me or post here.

michael.

Maybe the rules should have specified that it should only use basic tools. Tesla's build thread won't be much good to the vast majority of us.

I think this contest is more about the creativity of the build not so much someone being able to replicate it. But yeah your right I dont think many people have Co2 cutting lasers at their disposale ;)
