Really, really struggling to not put my foot down in this thread. The notion that you don't know you're bise×ual until you've tried it on with both se×es is frankly ridiculous. The masses that grew up heterose×ual knew it long before legal age. Being LGBT isn't something that just happens once you've tried something and decided you liked it. No, no.

The fact that the OP was neg'd for just looking for support here is also completely shit. Flaminpyro obviously doesn't understand what it's like to be in this situation and the value an online community can have in someone's life, especially during time of difficulty.

It was all going so well but the 2nd page of this thread has really disappointed me, to be honest.

The problem with neg rep is-

99% of the time people are using it for the wrong reasons. And that one time it is done for the right reason, you hit someone who has a cult following and suddenly you're the bad guy. I've literally just got my first neg - a retaliatory no less - for daring to call out some of the BS in this thread. Then there was the time I neg'd someone for recommending Syrup of Ipecac (a beyond stupid suggestion, tbh), I got called out as if I'd just murdered a kitten. Yep, I was suddenly the bad guy for downvoting a defunct medical practice which was now advised against due to health ramifications

I absolutely DGAF what people think on the 'net - grew out of that a while ago - but I absolutely won't stand by while people - vet or no vet - come out with some of the shite that my eyes have unfortunately had to witness at the top of this page. And if it means that my own rep takes a hit, so be it. People with a bit of nouse are able to read between the lines and so it really doesn't matter.

If only more people used the system properly, instead of as a willy waving contest and for giving backhanders, then being given a neg bar wouldn't be worthy of the headline news.

What a shame. While this won't take much off his reputation bar, it has changed how i see him his reputation has severely lowered in my mind.

I'll throw in my support for you for being who you are. You've taken a large step. This does take an extreme level of courage.
It takes courage to identify as to why you feel different. Thankfully you're doing this in a country that values(most of the time) personal differences.
In many countries this discovery could get you rejected , and or even killed.

I've known and still know people like you before and I wish you the best.
You have to understand that not everyone understands or is comfortable with
these kind of personal differences. Western society has just recently come to "accept" this difference, whereas many societies still have a great deal of catching up to do.

Again I'll support you for your choice.

Really, I wouldn't worry what he has to say. He is the one with the problem, not you. Put him on ignore and nothing will come of it. I'm sure Avery also has far better things to do than listen to someone whinge on.

I would also like to point out, to anyone else who has a problem with this, that having an opinion on the subject does not make you right. "I'm entitled to my opinion" is not a valid argument.

It takes a lot of courage and a certain level of maturity so kudos to you for taking the steps , we are just an open forum so dont worry about what one person says it really doesnot matter. It is more important that you care about your family and coming out at this age is not really a necessary thing and I hate to state the obvious but people go through transformations in their teens-late teen and early 20's , even until mid 20s' so what you're doing is just experimenting, not saying everybody does but most people do and only a few have the guts to say it out loud , and for that you have my respect.

No offense man, but you kind of over reacted by sending him that PM. If you get a red bar, just take the hit and move on, it's not a big deal. There are no specific rules for leaving rep, if Jeff wanted to tell you his opinion with a rep rather than a post that is up to him.

I agree. The rep system shouldn't be taken too seriously. Ppl get +rep'd for impressive builds, and some get +rep'd for pointing their laser at a piece of fruit. All with a grain of salt.

I had a conversation with flaminpyro earlier after he decided to PM me, and all I'm going to say is the guy is a total crackpot. To sum it up:

He strongly indicates he believes AIDS and homo***uality to be tied
He thinks the OP posting this thread is equivalent to posting about having *** with children or dead people
We all know he called the OP a pervert - he initially tried to deny it

He then had the gall to tell ME to stop sending HIM unwarranted messages, when he was the one who messaged me first with his hateful, spiteful comments.

Totally inexcusable behaviour and tit for tat. Oh and I'm posting this because after I blocked him he continued to goad me the only way he could - on my rep page. Suit yourself, now the whole forum gets to see what an arse you are.
