That's an 808nm IR laser. It very well could have divergence that bad.

I realize it's 808nm, but I still think that it should have better divergence. They also have a green module that, in the power range of 200-800mW, with a beam diameter at aperture of ~.3mm, has 15mRad divergence. I just figured that such a small pointer would have better divergence than that :undecided:

The module does not have a collimation lens. That is why the divergence angle is large.

there turned out to be 2 RG models one is 640nm one is 655nm which one are we talking about here?

which one does phoenix has?? and which one is less "bitter lemon" yellow.... cuz the ideal yellow is a more of a "goldenish" yellow

655 is deeper red, so I would guess it's the more golden of the two.
