Beam diameter at the aperture (mm) 6

Well it certainly would make it much more fun. A lot of people falsely believe that if a laser is focusable they can simply set the laser to focus to a small pinpoint at far distances and solve their divergence problem. Unfortunately it just doesn't work like that. You will be able to get the laser to a small point probably around 6 ft from aperture and closer. After that you are just going to make the divergence worse.

Glenn, please count me in for a "RED PGL III -C- 655 nm 500 mW $430" thanx ;)

P.S: plz PM me my total thx
Yes but, after you saw the beam is as it is, I might assume you would be disinterested? I know the DIY reds are usually not much over 300mW, but the value of these DIY's seems better to me. -Glenn

If the beam specs on the red is that bad I will probably pass then.

Now I gotta look at what else is on offer in this GB :)
