This is the DIY HL460 laser. It is like a puzzle with no manual. :D

Well you asked for it :p kevin warned me about the difficulty but i was like nahh, blord is a very experienced builder he can do everything lol  here is a laser with no glue for you :p i told kevin you probably wanted to switch the driver.

Well from the picture it looks like maybe the diode is already pressed into the head as I don't see it in the picture and I'm assuming the driver is inside the host as well. Looks like they left out the switch for you to do.

I really do love my 450, it has a great dot and is an all around nice laser.

Detailed picture of the parts. The diode is already pressed AND the driver has a pot.
It has the same 3.8mm package as the Osram PL450.
I am going to potmod it. :D :D :D
First I test the diode and the driver.

Has anyone received a PL-650 1000mw yet? I'm curious to see where everyone is metering in.

will be metering mine and doing a review when it comes in. got some Panasonic NCR18650B's to for it.

sweet, cant wait to see what you end up doing with this. it looks like the head and host come together under where warning lable is. i'm intersted to see what kinda power you can get out of it.

I have already tested the driver and the diode. The driver is a linear driver. It needs two 16340 cells. I have set it at 350mA. The PL450 diode will give with the build-in lens 250mW output. Not bad for a 100mW kit. :D

Now I need to assemble it and I have already figured it out mechanically.

WOW, i'm really hoping mine is on spec or over, that is very low. i wonder how hard it would be to get my 450 apart and up the power?
