Class IV Laser Club?

Hey guys, how about we start a Class IV Laser club for those Blu-ray owners that have made it beyond the 500mw range? It'll be a little while before I reach that status but I know of at least one person here (Daguin) who has.

I think he means portable lasers over 500mW.

Yep, and EF is referring to >500mW of other colours, for instance there are >500mW greenies...

Yes, for handhelds... of all colors!!! 500mw+ of green must be awesome... I figure there must not be too many folks that possess such a pointer. I just posted here since I knew there were one or two folks that had made it to the class IV range with their blu-rays. The reds seem to 'stall' in the 300-400mw range and the other colors are very expensive at those powers (and most likely not available in a pointer aside from green). Wow, could you imagine the cost of a yellow, orange, or blue pointer greater than 500mw!?!? That's easily got to be well into the thousands of dollars!

I've been in the club... but now I'm out of the club since all the class Iv lasers I own are not hand held lasers.... but they make up for it in power :eg:

well my rpl runs in the 500's for about 20-30 seconds does that count lol

Hey for 20-30 seconds you have a class IV laser, I say it counts.

My portable Star Warz gun is 20 W of CO2. I've posted pictures of it before.
2 of my 8x Blu's go over 500 for about 5 seconds !!!
