You dont need to post to buy. Some members even use paypal buttons in which case you dont even need to be a registered member to buy.
 





I don't see any real reason to delete the thread. Both issues have been resolved.

I'm hoping these were two issues resulting from the same root cause. Ben's need to get to a sick family member. So long as no more of these issues crop up, I have no issue with doing business with Ben in the future.

i suggested to delete the thread based on the op not being here. all the regulars here no bw. and we know that noobs won't read a whole 2 page thread to see that issue resolved. but now that a second issue has arrisen i now change my mind.

I don't agree that history should be changed...

An addition of "resolved" in the Thread Title would be all
that is needed... IMO

There were 2 issues that could have been easily solved by
responding to the buyer in a timely way and not stringing
them along.

Communication has a calming effect on a worried customer
who's money is in the pockets of the seller..

Ignore the customer and he will retaliate to get his $$$ back
ASAP and discredit the seller...

It's just common business sense...

Time and time again we see situations where communication could have resolved a dispute entirely. Communication is a two way street. Buyers should be expected to initially contact sellers privately to resolve dispute. Sellers should be expected to respond to communication in a timely manner. IMO, responding within 24 hours is a necessity.

I sold BH a laser WAY back when. After shipping the laser, I also shipped him a second package with some silly little gifts like a few black balloons, some extra dust caps, and I think a few extra lithium ion cells.

Anyway, somehow the second package of little items arrived before the actual laser (go figure...). BH thought I had ripped him off. Instead of contacting me directly, BH posted the thread linked above.

Everything was good in the end, and I love BH. But I think it is interesting/amusing/humorous that the same thing happened in reverse way back then. Cycle of... er... LPF ?

Thank you for all the support you guys. Both of these issues were resolved as quickly as I could, especially with personal issues going on. I really hope this doesn't effect any future buyers.

Also, I said I don't care if he believes me, because what is done is done and he has his money back. I gave him a refund as soon as he asked.

Shit happens guys, life can go good or bad... Either thing can cause people to have to pick and choose what they do with their time and what they can do period, some times its out of our hands how fast we can do things or *IF* we can... It has happened, is happening, and WILL continue to happen. Don't expect everything to be smooth and flawless 100% of the time...

Ben is a good guy, and he wouldn't do anyone wrong on purpose. I have done business with him before, and am in the process of doing so again as we speak... Its all gone well thus far, and he has never done anything to lose my trust... Hell right now I'm waiting on parts from Digikey to finish a product for Ben... Its stupid that he has to wait, and if I could help it I would... I'm having some very "fun" (not) life issues right now and am doing the best to keep in contact with him and keep him updated, and you know what? Hes NOT blowing up on me for it and making threads and raging on...

I've said it before, Ill say it now, and I will probably say it again in the future: Bhwollen is a trust worthy member, and a pleasure to do business with. I would never hesitate to trust him in a sale, rest easy when you work with him... hes not going to screw you over. Hell I'd personally vouch for him if needed...

Sorry for the brick... Good luck in your future sales endeavors Bhwollen.

Payment of 245$ was sent July 21. Kept getting told it will go out the next day or the day after. Was told it finally shipped Aug 5, no tracking number and still no item. Don't know what the heck happened but hey I understand if personal things come up since that is the way life is. Just waiting on a refund before the 45 day mark. From now on when I purchase something from a member on this site, I am going to request their phone number and age BEFORE I make a transaction. Most kids just don't have it together today! He kept telling me it was going to ship / already shipped and added an extra month wait to my project. I finally got a refund after I raised hell. He never did give me his phone number even though I asked several times. It's real easy to hide behind a keyboard, but another thing to speak one-on-one via phone!

Well this isn't good. Another member is having a similar issue in the b/s/t section...

Nothing personal, but at the 40 day mark, if you don't have a working product in hand, file a dispute.

When was the original payment sent?
