I got mine today in the mail. WOW! This is a wonderful host. I am in love with this laser, it is by far the best of my collection. Heavy copper HS, focus knob, maxed microboost and aixiz lens 445. Sturdy as a rock, shiny as a mirror... so I feel temptations to wear it everyday heheh...
Seriously, this thing is not a joke, its like the beauty ant the beast, I have never had such a feeling with a laser ;-) It's worth the waiting. I have no LPM but I guess it puts out ~1W comparing to my LM317 1.1Amp 445 labby. Copper HS is a must for this, so the diode could live cool, nice machining work Flaminpyro
Also the focus knob lets you focus it easily without burning your fingers, again nice job man.
It's almos incredible such a little thing could have inside a 18650 and a massive copper heatsinked ~1W 445 laser. For sure if I were offered a Spyder or this, I will choose this. It's a professional build, much better than commercial ones, and you know exactly what is inside. Flaminpyro kindness is also remarkable, he is a cool guy, he always keeps you informed about your build and shipment. You feel like you were dealing with a long time friend.
Thanks Flaminpyro.
Edit: Actual data from fp, this build was a conservative one at 650ma/465mw with an aixiz 445 lens with a LONG duty cycle. This is LOT better for me, 'cause after looking it I WANT to wear it everyday on my pocket and not a class 4 one. Really if it were a 1W for sure I wouldnt wear it. Of course I can modify it to reach ~1W with a single touch on the microbost driver, but I will keep it like this for the moment... duty cycle is important for me, for the microboost, for the diode, and for my cloudy late night lasershows with my friends
Dont wanna repeat pics, enough posted here in the first post. But let me say, pics don't make justice, you have to take this on your hand to believe me...
Edit2: Couldn't resist... I had to turn the microboost pot to the right. Don't know how many mw, but now it burns white cards like hell... and also eats batteries...
