[ALL SHIPPED!!!] GB: 9$ O-like's "G2" Lenses CLOSED!!!

Re: GB FEELER: O-Like "G2" Lenses

Greetings,

I did not realize they weren't flat on the backside. I know there are a bunch of lenses out there, I have tried many. I am curious to see what they really look like.
Thanks for pointing that out, you are the expert.

cheers,
Moe

I have not seen anything that would say it is the same lens. In fact it sounds like a different one altogether. The first test shows it passes less than a G-2 and the G-2 passes less than a G-9 that would not be my first guess that any of the three are the same. There are so many lenses out there. Also the G-9 and G-2 are both flat on the backside the datasheet on this lens says it is curved on the back. More testing needs to be done and an examination of the coatings before making any definitive statements. Regardless they sound very worth but a new designation is probably needed.

Re: GB: O-Like "G2" Lenses

Well first things first, we've reached the 100pcs barrier in less than 24h which is exciting! As DTR said, these lenses are neither G2 or G9 due to their different shape of lens. Thus it is a "new" lens...which we can call whatever we want..."G-O" is a nice recommendation! :p
About shipping, if in reasonable range I will pay for the shipping from China to Me and then I will TEST EACH AND EVERY LENS and then ship it to you which will cost your 1.5$ so even with the 9$ discount price you are winning!

I'm doing my best for this GB...have a nice day,
Jim

Re: GB: O-Like "G2" Lenses

these are for violet and blue, right? has anyone tested with red? I'd be interested to hear results vs other typical lenses. green also. some pics of the dots would be cool too, compared to current lens dots. more info could help me determine how many I'd like.

Divergence comparisons, with g and 3 element would be sweet. do they produce thinner, wider, or comparable beams? that much light transmission with better divergence would certainly make me want one over a g lens. If it turns out they work with red lasers, I'd be curious to see what they do to mitsubishi multi mode 638 beams and dots

edit: I see o-like says up to 515, so I assume 520 wouldnt be too bad.

Re: GB: O-Like "G2" Lenses

@Shakenawake Sadly it's gonna take a lot f time and money to test these lenses with most of the known diodes...I'd be happy to do it you somebody supplies the diodes! ;)

@ARG Just to be on the safe side! I want everyone to be happy! :beer!

Re: GB: 9$ "G2" Lenses

I did some tests yesterday on this lens. I used a TEC cooled Labby heatsink with an M140 diode

I will post these results along with others in a new thread later.

The diode was under driven for consistency purposes...

All results measured with a Bluefan mk.II

AUTHENTIC G-2: 356mw

O-Like "G-2": 337mw

The authentic G-2 outperforms the o-like lens by 5.6%
Or the o-like only transmits 94.6% of the light an authentic G-2 passes.

More Results to come!

Thank you very much for the results my friend! +1

I'm in for 2. Thank you for hosting this GB.

Got ya! ;)
