Re: Bad Selling Experience with "Electron"

^^^Ugh. I stayed out of that thread after it became apparent he wouldn't listen to reason or logic.

Like you, I would be EXCEEDINGLY paranoid about selling to some people.

I mean I can't guarantee that if let's say I sell a laser, it will work for five hours...

Can't really tell much from that pic to be honest, but I'll take your word for it.

IMO that would be strike 2 against this electron fella.

Re: Bad Selling Experience with "Electron"

I'm pretty sure this guy ripped me off at one point.

I sent him a blue pen, the one he has in his signature. I sent it tracked and he got it fine. He then asked for another so I made it and shipped it with no tracking (duh) that one supposedly never got there. I'm sure it did but I messed up and couldn't prove it so I refunded him the cost for the pen.

I also sold him a bare 445 module, pressed and soldered with leads. He said it was DOA. OK, weird things happen but I tested that diode before it went out and it worked fine. All three leads (csse, ground, hot were shorted and it was shipped in an antistatic bag.) I had him send it back and found the die literally ripped off the can, pieces of it were stuck to the window. I have no idea what that diode saw but it was not good. I basically told him that something was done to that diode that he caused but he filed a paypal dispute anyway and won as he sent it back tracked. (bu$$5hit, buy something from someone on ebay and mail them back a box of rocks tracked and you'll win a dispute.)

I can't remember if I made this known back then, either way electron was gone for a while and he just came back recently apparently. I won't ever sell to him again and I recommend everyone else avoid him too.

I still have that diode somewhere, I think there are pictures in my photobucket from when I got it back...

Eeek, I'm sorry to hear that.

That hurts a bit more than whatever thing he's got going on with me here. I'm not sure exactly what he's doing in my case, but it certainly feels like something is up.

I won't jump to conclusions though. Maybe it really hasn't shown up, and I'll find out in a couple days that it shows up and he really wasn't trying to get a free lunch here.

That said, Mario's comment got me thinking. This guy PM'd me about 1.5 weeks into shipping to say that it hadn't arrived. At that stage, I'm sure I told him that it was not a trackable shipping product. If you were trying to ultimately get a Paypal refund, without literally disputing EVERYTHING you bought, it would be pretty good to know ahead of time which sellers had the ability to show actual tracking for a product, and which didn't. What better way than testing this a week or so in, before the package would ever have arrived, with a quick PM or email inquiry to ask where the package was?

Well, as of 5 minutes ago, I'm out $235 because of this scammer.

Pontiac, I feel your pain.

All I have to say is.. tracking is your friend.. and i'm really not trying to gloat.. I've been ripped off before too, which is why I always use tracking. It sucks when it happens to anyone.

Ouch, that's a lot to lose... :can:

I would rather loose a sale because a customer thought
the shipping costs with Insurance and tracking were too
high rather than the cost of the item AND the item...

Sorry to hear you got screwed by one of our own...:cryyy:

One should not to be too quick to judge, I've scammed no one on here; there are two sides to a coin. This thread was brought to my attention, and I will address these issues as soon as I have a little more free time. I'm bouncing between two locations right now with very long days. I spend an average of 1K+ a month through PP which really is non of anyone's real business, so I have no reason to try and play games for a couple hundred bucks. I think I keep the local mailman in business these days with packages most weeks.

You better have a good reason or else your gone mate... Im almost 100 percent sure this is no coincidence so if you can't back yourself up, you might as well be banned.

You don't exactly seem to be able to back this up

If you've got a side to this story, I'd love to hear it too.

The Paypal messages didn't explain anything. I think I wrote 10 words for every 1 you left in reply. It was basically me trying to suggest things, you threatening Paypal this or that, and then just basically doing it, without working with me.

I see two sides as well. Either:

1) You're an impatient DB who disputed a charge 4 weeks into a 6 week shipping process, or

2) You've got the laser there now, and you're having a laugh at someone else's expense

100% agreed. To file a PP dispute as that time, I don't care what the circumstances were, you said it shipped, you are a reputable member, and it wasn't past the 6 week time frame.

Unless there is something key here that we are missing, :banned:
