Dang that diode got trashed. Is that solder all over it? Looks like it. Looks like it got pushed out with a little screwdriver or something as well. I imagine that is from removing it from the copper module without an extractor tool.

I've got nothing to add, other than my previous posts were not intended to trash Daawood. I was only making note of his inconsistencies and alleged workmanship. I hope that both parties can come to an equitable agreement. A big thanks is due to Avery, for taking the time to investigate this and his effort to help both parties.

I want to second SBA's statement. I was only here pointing out, what i thought to be, inconsistencies with the buyers/sellers story. The buyer however didnt appear to have any IMO. I am not here at LPF to bash anyone and nor do i have a hate or dislike against anyone here, well except SBA! YOU IDIOT IT WAS PED NOT AVERY!!!!!! UGHHHH SUCH A KLUTZ!!!! JK SBA, much love for you

Hope this gets sorted out and sorry for confused "anger or bashing" was not intended :D

My inclination is that the diode has had pressure on the front.
I really feel that it was on the way out when I got it .
Im awaiting an opinion on it all.

I totally appreciate PEDS work and daawood123 co operation.
I don't feel anyone is trying to fleece anyone its just one of those things.

I think the obvious thing would be to split the cost of the diode in half, its not ideal, but it is a way out.

Maybe even DTR could knock off a few $$ because he's insanely kind like that :) .

haha spending dtrs money for him !!

There was no pressure applied to the diode before I sent it, it was not very hard to push it out of the copper ring using just my pinky finger covered with microfiber cloth.

Its not good for me that the diode is dead, I sent it out working fine, now it is dead, I will not accept responisibilty for the diode being killed. I dont know who is it to blame, may it be postal service, buyer, whoever it was. I can see from pics soldering wasnt great, there is solder all over the diode bottom, when I sent it it wss perfectly golden. Inside of host also seems very battered. Anyway not accusing buyer of anything, just making a observation that it was not like that when it was sent out.

I would be willing to pay half the price for the diode.

At this point fellas take it to the PMs until there is a need for a dispute thread to be opened, and both of you know where that subforum is this could be a he said she said that could be better resolved without outside banter. Keep it clean and know I'm hoping for the best.:thanks:

My test load was at home so I was unable to test its stability. I'll do so tomorrow.

If your both willing to go halves on the diode then there shouldn't be much of a problem.
