Exactly. But if it was me I would favor using Scientific Terms instead of wording it so it sounds we're killing small animals haha JK!

Well videos of the obvious. When you do the Tests... hopefully you will have captured the time when it finally does kick the bucket. Just thought it would be good document material.

Then he'd have to be recording the whole time. That seems like a bit much. Pics of the setup will do it for me.

You can simulate this. Just look at the picture of the diode lit and then close your eyes. :crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup:

Well how long do the tests run... he sets the current and then aims it at the meter and finally turns it on right? Maybe record when he turns it on and post it up perhaps.

Test could hopefully take at least a week at 400mW. I hope it will go longer though!

I believe Igor said his first test diode will be cycled 1 minute on, 1 minute off. (12 hours of effective 'on time' per day) I believe his set up will measure power each 'on time' too as well...

But if not, I'm sure he will monitor the power from time to time. But yeah... that's a lot of video!

I'd be so happy if they will last over 100 hours at 400mW. I think I'm gonna want mine set at whatever current will give 100 hours of life, which is still a very very long life IMO.

Edit: I had just gotten my first 8x Bluray burner from Newegg!
Dave promised to put it in a module for me... Darkarmyofone would have charged me a fortune.
