Re: Build: Tri-Diode laser Est. 5.6W

Love the host! can't wait to see the finished product. I hope I get one of those freak 9mm diodes when I place my order with DTR =D

Re: Build: Tri-Diode laser Est. 5.6W

Can't find my lens paper :( Alignment will have to wait until after I get some more. Every mark on the optics will reduce the final output, so I'm not going to risk using something else.

Re: Build: Tri-Diode laser Est. 5.6W

I still want one! Cant wait to see the final product!

I see a problem..

You don't have enough arduinos. lol :na:

Re: Build: Tri-Diode laser Est. 5.6W

Wow I've been waiting for this laser for months and its almost here :D I cant wait to see it finished the laser diodes are outputting better than I expected especially with that freak 9mm :)

Ive said before that these multi diode lasers are the handheld lasers of the future with awesome complexity and output. These dual and triple diode laser hosts are also amazing thanks to mrcrouse

I feel the way my kids looked, when they were in the bouncer/jumper plastic thing that lets them rock and jump , but they can't get out. I just want to bounce around when I read this thread!

Re: Build: Tri-Diode laser Est. 5.6W

I'll get some alignment done this weekend. I need a good continuous 5 hours to get anywhere with the alignment.

Those are for the ARGLPM and data logging modules. :) There are two more in use that are not in the picture :p

Yup! It's pretty easy for anyone to set one of these up now. I'm hoping to see more of these from others! MultiModes RGB build thread was a delight to read.

Re: Build: Tri-Diode laser Est. 5.6W

this and multimodes amazing rgb get me stoked! I plan on putting together a tri diode laser by the end of 2013, my job is seasonal so I'm pretty low on funds atm, but as soon as business picks up I'll be placing some orders :D I'm thinking either 3 9mm 445s :lasergun: or an rgb of some kind. would it be possible to have three wheels on top of the host to adjust power to the individual diodes to make different colors?

Potentiometers, not wheels  and yes :)

Re: Build: Tri-Diode laser Est. 5.6W

 thats a fancy word lol, a potentiometer can be a knob as well, so I was just trying to be specific... yeah thats it!... at least I got my point across :P

Ah. I love the weekends, lots of free time for lasers :D

Glued down the focus on each of the lens' to infinity. Now to play the waiting game with the epoxy

X-drives are coming in the mail now too. :thanks: lazeerer

Nice job ! The epoxy should set pretty fast. Couple of minutes and they are hard as rock.

Thanks!
I used some very old one hour epoxy for the lens'. It takes a couple hours before it even becomes taky. :/

I hope to have the alignment done on the 445nm diodes today (PBS and mirror)

Nice! I'm excited to see this finished! I really should start making some more of these heatsinks? Do you have any more people in line for these? If so, how many?

Re: Build: Tri-Diode laser Est. 5.6W

I know he has some people in line for these as I am one of them!

Re: Build: Tri-Diode laser Est. 5.6W

why do you have to use such old epoxies, its taking to long .. :na:
