Very neat! I am wanting to do the same, just haven't gotten around to it. Wasn't sure why to talk to to get a rig for the tube.

Looks pretty sick with those tube supports
Another thing you could try to get the name to light a bit better is putting something reflective on the top surface of the acrylic to bounce the light back down into the acrylic. Being laser cut, the edges are very good at passing light
Very neat device
Maybe you could try a piece of diffraction grating cut to a strip and place it under the plexi where the beam hits it first.
If I did a diffraction grating I would one the fan one and not the star field one.
I'd like to get one of these, but with an HR meant for that wavelength on each end of the sign, and the tube parallel to it, with a right angle mirror on each end. So I have two external cavities visible. I'll do it with a green for visibility I might even do something unheard of, and make a full cycle with the external cavity, passing it right back through it's original cavity. SCIENCE!
I need one of these.
Things, you'll have a PM in the morning. I'm off to bed.
EDIT: Fiddy, why is there a pack of dynamite on your desk?!!?
