BTW, kiyoukan, remember that paypal took a chunk off of the payments and it will probably do the same for your refunds to those who requested them.

I reckon I might as well wait it out until you're SURE that you either can or can't get 'em at a reasonable price.

Someone posted in this thread the paypal refund policy. Essentially as long as the seller refunds the money within a certain time period, paypal will refund all fees.

That's right.

You just have to be sure you use the PayPal 'Refund' system.

I've had to refund a few people that just send money first and asking for a diode later and when I refunded them they got everything back.

Same here. I hope this comes off! The diodes on eBay are too pricey.

Guess you did not see them 2 months ago at $499+ each??
or two or three years ago at 4/5 times that???
IMO they will go back up in price somewhat..you never know.

I've been away from lasers since 532nm got cheap, and just came rushing back, so I definitely missed them at $499!

Perhaps they'll have a 2W 445nm @ $25 in a couple of months and and nobody will want weedy 1 watters any more :crackup:

Thanks to everyone with the info on getting the fee back but its no new information to me . I've done it plenty of times. But its alright. I want to get these diodes and sell them. It will make up for it.

Kiyoukan make a decision quick towards ordering the ones for 650 or just sitting around on the phone. I might sell mine on ebay (feebay as they call it) for a few dollars more to compensate.

EDIT: Maybe you can record the conversations you have with these people so we know whats being done

there having trouble getting me a price on the 140s.
I can do the 130s if that is what we want to do.
at 650$ per array then each laser boils down to around 27.50
then shipping for the arrays to me will cost 15-42$
Then shipping in the us is around 2-3$ (diode)
Internationally shipped will be around 3-4$ (diode)
then paypal takes 3% of my trans actions. about 1.25$ from every sale. (diode)
for arrays shipping it to you would cost between 8-15$ (array) around 20$ worldwide
paypal fee takes about 16-20$ per array. (array)
so with all this mass of information,
I can do the 130s but as far as exact price goes so i dont wind up in a hole is a bit hard.
so i am going to need a new list due to the amount of backouts.
once i get that i will get a full quote for each laser but i "think" i might just be able to keep them at 35$. think but for the arrays there is nothing i can due, there 650$ plus what ever shipping costs.
if we can get the a140s for around the same price that would be amazing but as these are the a130s they are still better than buying a 800$ projector.
So i am going to go threw my pp and pms and begin to remove the backouts.
If you want to back out i have no hard feeling at all with all the confusion that has happened.
i am doing my best to keep on the amount of emails and messages and keep trudging forward.

I will keep an eye on your groupbuy on till everything is clear. I have invested the amount that you refunded in 6 sets of prism pairs for the dual modules to combine two of the diodes. I need 10 diodes in the near future so when the exact price is available i will step in if possible

okay so the first post has been updated.
if you were given a refund and still see your self on the list let me know.
If you did get a refund but are on the list its only for show as all shipping info and information will be done threw paypal.
That means you are just on the list holding someone else place.
i am double checking to make sure i got everyone but please i do make mistakes.
We are very short on the last projector, To the people buying arrays please read the opening post.
I think for the whole array you wont be saving very much.as they are 650 + 17$ paypal fee + plus 10-15$ shipped.
thats going to put them around 680$ to get them to your door.
So if you have paid 550 you need 130$ more
This might still work out if i can get this to be the a140s.
still working another update to follow latter in the day.
did a mod edit my post?
i don't remember removing some people from that list... ohh well...
the whole arrays will be added in a bit going back threw mp pp.

FYI, paypal keeps score of the refunds you send, if you sent more than three in a month be prepared to possibly have your account frozen with money stuck in it you cannot touch possibly forever!
