Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

I have a feeling that you may need to get full projectors from the USA..
At $800.00 MRSP for the complete projector in single quantities it comes to
$33.33 per LD... and the rest of the projector can be parted out for
some extra profit for your troubles...

I'm sure if you asked for a quantity discount price from a seller of these
projectors in the USA you would get a better price and you would be
100% sure the Arrays were brand new and not perhaps repair returns...

I tried to get one in Canada this week and they are getting harder to
find and some dealers were telling me they are discontinued... not sure
if that is a fact..

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

Well i decided to try a very bold move for some information.
I called casio and got in the door as a service center rep.
Letting them know i had numerous inquires about these projector parts and wanted an update on the current availability status or when it will be made available.
Got some interesting news.
They will not be made available for about 4-6 weeks time.
I asked that another service center had placed an order for these and i was informed that there is a waiting list for them from other service centers but they will not be getting them any faster.
These parts are just to new to need any replacement parts as they should still be under warranty to be sent back and replaced.
There is nothing we can do from this point but wait till we get the parts in stock.
My next question was can i get put on that waiting list?
The amount of parts coming in will be able to fill any number you or any other company needs.
"I can add you to the list if you are so inclined?"
me: "Thanks for all the information i was worried that there was something going on with these parts that i did not know about."
"Make sure to call back in about 3 to 4 weeks and we should have them then, again i am sorry about this confusion I hope i was able to answer all your question...."
Well you guys get the picture.
So as i sit on my hand i ask what now?
We can wait.
We can try again sometime in the future.
Any other ideas as i am now out of ideas to get these from any source.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

FYI, paypal keeps score of the refunds you send, if you sent more than three in a month be prepared to possibly have your account frozen with money stuck in it you cannot touch possibly forever!

That only happens when you screw your customers repeatedly.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

That is good to know i would hope sellers are allowed to issue a mass refund as it looks like that is our only option.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

I dont see why not, its been done before. Check with Paypal. If you give them a heads up of the situation, I'm sure there will be no issues.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

I thought I read someone on here that the whole A130 projector can be bought for $740.00 depending on where you shop. So with that in mind, 650$ per array + plus shipping + paypal fees doesn't really make much sense.

Yes I know you did your best, but at this price point, I simply don't think it's worth waiting 4+ weeks for just an array. Why not just buy some projectors, sell the arrays and diodes, and possibly some of the other parts within the projector; I can't see how you would lose any money.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

Well if the OP starts refunding everyone at the same time...
it may look fishy to PayPal...

Maybe the best thing to do is get written documentation
from PayPal by directly contacting them before attempting a
large refund session... Doesn't hurt to be sure...

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

Kiyoukan perhaps you can just send me 8 diodes rather than half an array.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

okay you know what i think i am just going todo what i have to to not do a huge refund.
Newegg.com - CASIO XJ-A140 1024 x 768 DLP XGA Laser and LED technology Projector 2500 lumens 1800:1
price around 36-38$ shipped in the us.
we got 2 full arrays and a partly third one i think jay said he wanted 8 or something.
and maybe some of the people who got arrays might want to change it back into lasers. idk
so by friday or tonight if we all consent to this i would like to order them as many as i can.
casion finally got the better of me for now at least.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

Good so I don't have to give up on getting one of these lasers after all.

Though it looks like I may need to send a few extra dollars.

Btw has anyone bothered to look into other brands of projectors?
It might be cheaper that way if luck favors this GB.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

Dibs on the LED? How much might you want for it?
Also interested in the zoom assembly if I have the money. Perhaps even the shell.

Sorry the straight up arrays didn't work out. Bad casio :twak:
