Lens 2 is the one with the splash isn't it?

Anyways, I think the lens that gives you less splash, and still a considerable amountof power is the best choice.

I basically took an extended break from the entire laser scene, came back, went to this subforum and saw this thread haha. It's been like 5 months or something, I don't think it's happening guys.

I am betting it does happen.

Igor, I am up for (4) of either lens you decide to go with. More-power is always great, especially with a little less splash, (lens #2), but even better beam-specs at the cost of a lilttle power also has it's appeal.

How does a gb work? A member organises a group buy and gets a discount? the higher the amount the less the price? And then? Do the other members have their product sent by the member who organised the GB? Thanks.

thats exactly how a "traditional" groupbuy works, yes. there are regular "sales" in the GB section as well, where sellers already have stock and sell them to members.

So what ever happened to this, is it still a go or dead? I was playing with my lasers the other day after many months and thought about this GB.

It's still going to happen. IgorT actually already did a mini GB for them in his sales thread, and he is going to do a larger GB later. Send him a PM for more info.

GRIN lenses typically are thin in diameter, with costs rising strongly with larger diameter. besides, one of the big advantages of GRIN lenses is its "free choice" focal distance, which we dont need here? what advantage would a GRIN have over a boring old one?
i may have contact to a company producing those.. the only one in germany or even europe, in fact..
