35MM CU Modules/DTR

Punched my nubm44 out of its 12mm module and pressed it into a new 35mm cu module, the duty cycle is great! I put it into my mx900, it's really nice. Just want to say, the nubm44 is one tough diode, it's been in and out of two 12mm modules (had it decanned) run so hot it burned my hands and pressed into the 35mm module Its in now. The 9mm diode/ 35mm cu module combo is the way to go in my book.

Hi folks,
I have my 35mm cu module in my mx now and love it! Nice, long duty cycles and 26650 high drain batteries to boot. I have 3 cu washers that work great for centering and holding these 35mm modules in the mx. Won't be needing them as I don't plan on building any more mx hosts. Let me know if ya can use em,
Danny

I have one MX on hand, and another on the way. I was thinking of trying a 35mm build with at least one of them. If you still have those washers, I'll grab one from you. :)

Hi Chris,
Have to go to post office tomorrow so go ahead and pm me your address and I'll get that washer off to ya. If anyone else wants one, I have one left and I'll send it tomorrow

Hi
Ordered 3 30 gram tubes of heatsink compound and recieved it yesterday. I removed the cu washer from on top on my 35mm cu module in my mx900 and filled the void between it and the module with compound before replacing the washer. Took 10 grams of compound and made a noticable difference. It slowly warms up now when it seemed to get hot all at once before

Found another flashlight for the 35mm cu module. I also used a 12mm module in it for 1min then my lpc840 led. For the 35mm module you use a cu washer just like the mx900. For the 12mm module I glued a focus knob on the back of the module back with a knotch in the focus knob (for wires) so it pinched between the pill and cu washer. Will edit with ebay item #

They fell behind schedule a bit but the 20mm and 25mm are finished and should be shipping to me tomorrow. Here is a teaser pic.

Hi Jordan,
Now that's a sink buddy,20mm & 25MM plus the 35mm's . This is what we need now as you know there are no machinists around any more making hosts. We all have to resort to flashlight builds for handhelds. By the time you hunt around for the right size to fit these beauty's it can be a little frustrating at times. Great work as usual that is a tease looking at all that nice shiny Copper ..

Rich:)

WOW! Just wow!

It is really good that there are various standard sizes available. :)

You know, some square copper diode modules would be nice, the backs could use 4 screws for superb heat transfer.

They would be great for light show builds and nuts like me who want to square 2 or 4 together in a box build, but for beam combining and light show boxes they would be great.
