FYI, AUG_DTR said all modules are 1.0 to 1.5mm longer (total length of both halves screwed together) with diode installed.
This would imply the 35mm diameter module is 29mm long total length WITHOUT the diode installed because it is 30.5mm long WITH the diode installed. This, in turn, would imply the 35mm diameter module does not have a hollow back because 29mm is too short for it to have a hollow back.
The pedestal countersinks into the ( 9mm diode ) module hole when there is no diode, however the 5.6 and 3.8 diode modules don't. However this is a moot point as you will no doubt use them with a diode installed.
On the right a 20mm module with non pocket back half for 9mm diodes ( no diode ) screwed down tight ( pedestal countersinks into diode hole without a diode in place ) it is 26mm long.
On the left a 20mm module with non pocket back half for 5.6 diodes ( pedestal bottomed out ) without a diode in place however it will be the same with a diode or within a fraction of a mm, this one is 27mm long, should be the same with a diode properly pressed in.
Here's a pair of 20mm modules with and without diode
With a diode the non pocket module is 27mm. The pocket module is about 32mm with a diode installed.
** Note the thickness of diode backing plates may vary by a fraction of a mm or more.
