14x Blu-Ray Burners

BR diodes don't dim like 445nm diodes. When it goes over the maximum it will irrevocably turn LED.

Give Jordan a break. The review will come, have some patient !

The only thing keeping me patient is the fact that I don't have $140 to drop on a 14X anyway. Even if they are 1W, it'll have to wait. Although, that does revamp my plan to a 2W 405 PBS labby :eg:

Ok here is what I have so far. I will say there is something eerily familiar about this sled.:tinfoil:

Well it would not be the first time we have seen different diodes in the same sled.:)

This has been an Exciting few days.:)

Now we need a cheaper source of those sleds anybody got friends in lg china?

I know a few component suppliers so maybe one stocks these ill check soon..... Ill try getting a better price but im worried theyd be fake from china possibly

EDIT: Got a reply pretty quickly... sorry every chinese supplier i have links with and only one has LG blu ray burners and its 4X.....-_-.

Here we go. I need to get a power supply with some fine adjustments. It was not easy to do 10mA increases.:tinfoil:

OK so I next jumped to 750mA and the power looked to drop below 1W so I ended the test for the moment to see if there are any requests before I kill this diode. I may have bumped the heatsink moving the beam slightly off the sensor but I reacted by shutting down.

1W OF 405?! YAY! Now I can't decide if I should rip my new one apart, or put it in my computer. :undecided: I think I like blu ray too much to give it up.
