That's a great host, and you will like the build, but the most that I would do, is install the driver with the current pre-set for your diode, and have lead wires soldered on and ready for you. ('Hot' option)

But you would still have to buy your own diode and install it, to turn my kit into a laser.

The best places to get diodes, are modwerx.com, hightechdealz.com, or stonetek.org

Some offer to per-mount the diodes into an AixiZ module. For sleds, you can also check with scopeguy20...

I have been browsing for some time now trying to figure out what kind of laser to get and then i found your builds and i have to say i am very impressed. I have built a weak red laser but it came at a loss of a few diodes and drivers so i was wondering if i was to buy one of your builds and have the diode shipped to you, would you be able to assemble it for a minimal cost?

Was looking for a Blu-Ray in your Slim 18650 host.

In that post, he has information at the bottom of his post for a special LPF e-mail that he has set up. He gets really busy with his work, and with this testing of diodes as well. But you should be able to contact him through that e-mail...

Hi, jay I'm jon and I just found this forum and I think I'm interested in one of your diy builds or one from IgorT. I'm looking at picking up a 405nm (blue) laser but I'm not sure if I want to put one together my self just yet as I have never built one before. I am however very diy savy but would like to get the most out of my laser as far as life and power goes and I don't have the tools to test the driver or the diode. IgorT is in another country, dam that sucks. But he does have a good rep on this forum and I like his lasers. This might be a stupid question but how do I get a hold of him. To discuss buying one of his hi-power blue-ray lasers. I can't find his e mail info

Sorry, just 'flashlight/heatsink' kits without the laser diode... With my kits, you must still get your own diode to turn it into a laser on you own...

The 4171 has changed from DX. (again) I hope they start getting the normal ones soon. Because the new ones will need a cone shaped heatsink to fit the head. See pictures here:
