hey mate i new to building up my own laser i was looking at the DIY GREEN LASER to start of with. looking at buying it thanks mate

At the moment I am not concerned about power after. I do not have the white fusion kit and have a cut down ps3 sled. I have looked over the threads and the only thing i have found is that the green laser is 5mW, nothing on the red or violet. It just seems that even though the green and red lasers that I have are the same power (5mW) the green is so much brighter then the red and has a bigger dot when pointed at a piece of paper. After i put the brass fittings on will the size of the green dot be smaller?

You need to measure the power after the optics. I showed two versions. A high power, and a low power. I recorded all of the settings and measurements in the threads. You can just go there and read all of the information! :) (the low power build is linked)

Thanks. Can you tell me the mW of the lasers you used in the 7 color laser build? I didn't get the ones from the guide as the links weren't the bets but I got some off eBay and they are 5mW Red, 5mW Green, and 45mW Violet. The dot of the green and violet are really big compared to the red dot and I was wondering if after I put them in the bras fitting if the 3mm hole would help all the beams be the same size. If your building a 445, the AixiZ 445 gives a better looking dot, but at about 15% less power vs the 405-G-1.

jayrob I was just checking out your lasers and am interested in The complete XM-L T6 Maglite build . How much is it? is it the most powerful one you have? Also do you have a good lead on where to buy eye protection? Thanks c8512

Not familiar with the laser you are asking about, but I know that any optic, even clear glass will slightly affect a beam passing through. It may or may not be anything to worry about. Especially if the glass was AR coated for the specific wave length...

Hey jay.been a while.i was curious if you could help w a question. Im curious if an infared filter or a waterproof lense would lower the mw or defect the beam at all? Was gonna buy a 400mw br.but its waterproof and i was curious if u knew how that would affect it

I never offered a kit for that green mod I did in the SS10440 kit. I just showed it as a project that I did with this host...
