3 to 5 units for LPF members? Are we gonna have to ro-sham-bo to see who gets one? My birthday was Monday and my wife said to pick out any laser I wanted. I want one o' these :takeit:

We will hold 3 - 5 units for LPF sales, probably in the middle of july. LPF members who bought them would have the first glance of the rgb laser and post early reviews to help other members to make their decision . :D

Hopefully it would have been worth the wait, the RGB laser is build 100% for laser enthusiast. We don't even so sure how we gonna sell it, should we host a group buy or just put them on our store noramlly.

Thanks for the news Podo, any new hints of the price?

IMHO it would be fairest if Sanwu hosted a group buy for LPF members, many of whom have stated that they will purchase a RGB ASAP. This assumes, of course, that the units are being offered in good faith and not as merely a beta test. A review of this thread over the last several months suggests that an avalanche of LPF members likely will be testing and posting reviews of their new RGB units. I very much look forward to joining them. Thanks and Take Care. :D

Dear Podo: Would you guys be willing to photograph dot/bar profiles for each diode at a standard distance? I would like to know which diodes are naturally rounded or more elongated. Maybe include the diode name/part in case they change later on.

Are either of the cyan diodes a dot profile?

Since those units are painstakingly made, Im assuming review units will have to go to countries with less-ass customs regs?

The cyan diodes are single mode, they should produce a clean, low divergence dot given the right lens. Single mode tend to have a cleaner dot output, while multimode diodes tend to have a messier bar output.

Is this only true for the 60 to 100mW 488 and 492nm sold by Sanwu, or would single mode cyan also include the 5.0W 470nm or 2.0W 465nm?

470nm and 465nm are not cyan and not Singlemode at all.

Although our RGB laser got postponed a few times now but this new product will be available in just next week!

Now you can measure the power of your own Sanwu lasers with Sanwu first laser power meter!

More info of the LPM will be revealed soon.

Looks like a high-end offering, to compliment the rest of your product line. Excited to learn more about it.

I bet we could use this to meter the R/G/B handheld ! When is that coming, again?;)

lol, just playing a bit - hope everyone has a great weekend!!

I lost all hopes about those RGB. I settled on a 532nm labby instead.

I don't think these are going to be for sale to any of us anytime soon. It was a pipe dream. Yes, they made some videos, but they have had plenty of time to make these RGB lasers available. I really don't think it is a possibility in a pointer.

Honestly I think it's probably going to be a much more feasible project once the 4 pin RGB diodes drop (whenever those may be. They are coming.). Those and some lenses (lens?) to cut down on chromatic abberation is probably worlds better than having to service possible alignment tune-ups. Probably won't have the same 500mW power output, and the beam will likely need some masking around the edges, but business wise it will be a lot easier and less risky to produce

Just like the underwater laser, and the LPM (which was supposed to come out "next week" as of July 7th).

Tired of being lead on. Not even gonna believe it when they say they're gonna release something. I was actually incredibly interested in the laser, as it looked slim and well made, in comparison to other RGB options I've seen. Alas it was but a pipe dream.

We were making tiny modifications to the RGB laser constantly and to be honest it's difficult to find a method to set the dichros permanently in a fixed position.

That is why it's taking us so long, we were trying out different methods attempt to pick one that works in small pointer design.

The first 10 RGB units have sold in china already in the opening of july but those were made by our "old method", we will only bring the best to the LPF since some of you guys have waited for this so long.

I have been waiting (im) patiently. Got my eye on a Silver and two more Guardians, plus the RGB. So as soon as you can, give us the heads up. Gotta grow my collection. :)

Ps, But much prefer quality, so whenever your builders are happy.

Pss, any thoughts or words on my special request build?
