Yes but you can use stripe to pay, stripe accepts credit card just like paypal.

I'd say Paypal was removed because of how volatile it is.
- Easy charge backs
- they can lock up accounts freezing all money
- VAT and "paypal tax"

Lots of pains in the ass tbh.

I’d assume just diffraction gratings rotated by a motor, not too complicated.

They look pretty similar, think they’re from the same manufacturer?

They are two gratings, but only one rotates. Besides adding a motor, these have been around for a long time. Nothing spectacularly new to them.
