I opened my claim on day 18.... When his 5-10 that he advertised was up I tried to contact him with no response.. A week later I still hadn't heard a thing... Claim filed.... I'm not nearly as patient as you guys lol... Well let's just be honest I woulda waited longer but after talking to many people in hear, on facebook, and on the phone I figured out what he was doing real quick... Still baffles me how people would still wait hopefully after receiving fake tracking numbers... Honest businesses who are just behind on orders DO NOT do that.

RIP Sci-Fi lasers - I think it's in a unrecoverable state (unless perhaps he lays his cards on the table, comes up with a plan and executes it perfectly). I feel bad for everyone that has got caught up in this business failure.

Eitan you had so many things right - so it's sad to see it end this way.

I know you're not a bad guy at heart. I think you're a very optimistic guy and most likely did not know the trouble you were getting into (you just assumed it would work out in the end).

I guess you've learnt some hard lessons about business (although your apology suggests you have a bit more learning to do). Try to take something positive from this event and listen to some of the advise being given in this thread.

Good luck everyone.

This might sound harsh nobody wants to admit they made a bad decision, but if anybody would have considered threads from the past they would have seen that there was a spec of deceit back when he was selling those sweet 515nm diodes. I bought one and was willing to loose that measly 30 somtin just to see if the deal would go thru.

If you look there was some trouble with the tracking numbers and such. I finally got the diode and I'm sure Joker made no money off the deal, but he came thru even if it took forever. Needless to say it produced a red flag for me and others as I can only imagine.

So moral of the story. Take your time, order the parts you need, and take in the satisfaction of building your own. Getting complete lasers (unless they are used for sale) has and always will be somewhat of a pain in the arsh.

Live and learn, but this much attention to LPF cannot be to healthy for us all!

Before you reply, I am a long-time lurker which explains why I lack reputation and posts, here is my little experience. After having returned to the forum after some time, I decided to purchase my first custom laser. After having searched endlessly for a trustworthy seller, of course I had to make a purchase from Sci-Fi Lasers!! At first, Eitan would reply swiftly to my emails (obviously to suck me into his sh*t-hole he calls sci-fi lasers). After sending numerous emails (at least 40, usually no reply...) back and forward and providing dogsh*t tracking numbers, I made the conclusion that I had been scammed. Funnily enough, that day was the first time I had noticed the immense amount of reports and complaints about the business. This really pissed me off as having read them beforehand would've prevented the whole sh*t show. He would stall me by saying things like "i'll email you in a few" or 'update you tonight' which he didn't. Luckily I purchased one of the cheaper builds, but for a first time buy, it was a pretty shitty experience. Eitan get your shit together and refund your innocent customers. :yabbmad::yabbmad:

I wasn't picking on joker in the weeks past, I have just seen the patterns before and things did not add up.

It's hard to accept that others don't think like we do, but some people don't, some people can lie and steal and not feel bad about it, just because we can't we tend to think that others are the same and ignore warnings.

So we live and we learn, I do feel extra sorry for the guy who got a 900 dollar lesson, that really stinks.

Well that was almost me. I ordered for almost $850. But, I got the "pay me after you get it".

Got lucky.

So basically this is about the customers flooding you with orders and them being the cause they don't get what they pay for? I'm sorry but I've lost a lot of respect for you.

I don't understand why he would do the "pay me after" if he was struggling. I was wondering if it was just a lie to keep things going. I guess he actually did mail some before receiving payment.

Hey Everyone... Remember that thing that someone was doing that got the rules for Repping Changed temporarily. I would never suggest doing that to TheJoker301... Never.... Ever... *Cough*

Google what a ponzi scheme is.

I know what a ponzi scheme is. At least it's not a Pyramid Ponzi scheme.
Sending out a unit free of cost and obtaining payment at a later time is not part of the Ponzi Scheme...
Taking in money to pay for parts for a prior order is though.

I don't think it was a scheme initially. He seems far too disorganized for that.

Things just snowballed beyond his control.

Yeah right lmao... As I stated before... Honest businesses DO NOT give out fake tracking numbers... You steal from one and give to another well taking off the top for yourself... Its a typical ponzi scheme.

Some apology this is.....

"Hey guys. I'm awfully sorry I spent the money you sent me for your orders on my personal needs. Sorry I lied about shipment dates, sent bogus tracking info, and strung you all along while spending your money. Now I'm out of money to finish your orders and it's all your fault for filing paypal claims and stopping people from buying from my site. You won't be hearing back from me and I'm not refunding anyone"
