Having it fit is a plus. If i wanted a desktop environment I would just bring a laptop or the Microsoft surface pro. A ipad is neither portable nor powerful. Surface Pro > Ipad Pro

iPad Pro hasn't even been released yet and you are already saying the Surface Pro is better. Do you actually look at anything other than plain hardware specs when stating opinions like that?

I don't even...I just...nevermind.

Lol yeah, no use in arguing with me. My devices run android. Specs are all that matter. Unlike ios, if theres anything I even slightly dislike, I can easily and quickly change it.

You can have crappy hardware, no matter what os you have on it it will always be crappy. You can also have crappy software, regardless of hardware it will still be crappy. You can upgrade software but you cant upgrade hardware (not on a tablet atlest)

Do you think an iPad, or any tablet for that matter is meant to fit in your pocket? Of course not. That's what people have phones for these days.

A laptop is not what I would call portable, an iPad is a small fraction of the size and weight and has longer battery life.

Yes but you only have an iPad mini, the other iPads have a big enough screen to be useful. And not everyone has pockets that big.

Yea I know, I was just messin around. Personally I find a screen size like the mini to be just right. I find phones too small for games and typing, and whole iPads to be too big for carrying around from class to class in a hoodie pocket or on top of books. But remember this is just my opinion, so no flamewars plz ;)

Why exactly are we getting "too hyped" over the upcoming iPad? There's tons of new features to be hyped about. You just blatantly hate Apple products for no good reason whatsoever.

I do not hate apple products completely and I own the iphone 5c 5s and an ipad. They are beautiful devices and nothing (except perhaps the s6) is as beautiful as apple devices. Apple products are super reliable and super straight forward. I am more of a power user so android and raw hardware power is more important than reliability.

Edit:

when I said we are getting too hyped, I mean we are starting to attack each other...

Well I mean, the iPad Pro is probably great for applications where the iPad mini isn't, and vice versa. You're right auto, I never considered a phablet.

Alright. Misunderstood you then. I sometimes just can't comprehend people who say a product is better/worse than another wihout doing research at all.

Eh I think im in a position to judge having extensively used both sides for many years. And yes I have researched the ipad pro. I know the new features of ios9 and their keyboard, just seems kinda/very similar to the surface and multitasking is very simlar to Samsung multitasking(You can open multiple windows even on a phone such as the s4/5/6)

I feel very strongly about one thing with apple devices. I want to be able to navigate their directory structure natively with windows. I do not want to be forced into using iTunes. I want to be able to see it as a drive letter when plugged in. Give me this and I will be on board with the iPads. Not the phones in any way, nor the laptops. The ipads are decent devices for browsing the web and maps when you have a hotspot. They are great at work for checking emails and using Skype for business. We are trying to use them as training manuals for trainees at work. The issue we are having is the large file size total and no easy way to put that 4 gigabytes worth of data onto 50 generation 1 ipads. If I could simply plug it in usb and transfer the folder that would be great.... but hell no apple won't let me see them as a drive letter and the fact that the iPad only goes up to iOS 5.1.1 I can't copy multiple files at once. Nope! I have to transfer each file one by one for 50 iPads... Oh google drive you say... or iCloud you say... Nope in order to put those on the physical drive you have to click EACH FILE not the FOLDER and save it for offline mode. I've tried everything to make this an easy process. I finally found a program called iZip and I can zip the files and that same program can unzip and read the files. Because there is no directory structure on the gen 1 iPad; if I unzip a file, those files are not readable by other programs. iZip can though. I still have to do it 50x though. Kinda a PITA if you ask me. I've also used the iPad Airs. I see no huge differences other than size and it is obviously more powerful. Same no directory structure and having to use iTunes.

Sorry to get a bit side tracked but TLDL: I'd like to have a directory structure, a Drive letter. Windows Surface's and Android Tablets do this.

Android is absolute garbage. There's a reason loads of android users burn through three different samsungs and then concede and buy an iPhone. I've literally lost count of the amount of people who could have actually saved money in the beginning by just going apple, including myself. The principle isn't worlds apart for PCs and Mac either, although Windows is very good these days as long as you're not a total idiot.

It doesn't get much better in my view than iOS jail broken. My iPad mini 1 now has a variety of features only reserved for the top end iPads for free and it's still streets ahead of android, stinking awful thing.

As for the iPad pro, I'm not sure I would buy, as a slightly older jail broken iPad may be enough.

Gotta agree with you. Everyone in my house and all of my friends have an android. All I hear is them complaining about how slow they get after half a year of usage. Yet they keep saying android is better than IOS. Oh come on. I have an iPhone 5 that I won't need to replace anytime soon because it's still as quick and snappy as it was right out of the box. Sure, IOS is somewhat limited when it comes to doing certain things, but especially with 3rd party app support on IOS I doubt many people would be bothered by it.

Also just discovered that the iPad Pro is gonna start at €919 here opposed to the $799 in the US. That's fucking ridiculous. They already grab an extra 100$ from 1:1 currecy conversion and then they decided to add another 120 on top of it just because.

Probably going to get it regardless, because this is the reason I sold my iPad 3 for, but damn Apple, why?
