Personally, I use Opera because it is fast, secure, and packed with features I actually find useful.

I love it's features like having the "closed tabs/windows" button next to the "new tab/windows" button. If I accidentally close a window/tab, I can quickly retrieve it with everything on it saved if let's say I was filling out a form. Other than the sheer speed, the fully customizable "Speed Dial" feature is also another reason why I've stuck with Opera all these years.

I've tried Firefox; it is a great all-rounder and I like how it's virtually compatible with everything, but it's one of the slowest browsers around. Even IE 9 is faster in most benchmarks.

Chrome is also a very fast browser alongside Opera--though in different ways: Opera fastest for Javascript while Chrome fastest for HTML5--, but it's version of "SpeedDial" is no where as customizable as Opera.

By the way, everything I said above is only in relation to the browser's latest versions for Windows 7.

I like chrome the best personally. It's easy on the eyes and has everything I need and runs much smoother than other browsers (in my experience)
 
Hmm, well between work and home I use Chrome, explorer (working with the government it's the best option unfortunately), and firefox.

Btw, about speed dial, the only thing I don't like is that you can't select a background image locally. Aside from that, I have 24 dials set to the sites I use most often.... not sure what I'm missing.

Voted for chrome since it's the one I use most.

Firefox fo sure my nerdizzle! On the work computer, IE cant even load the main LPF page, installed firefox, and i can open multiple tabs on LPF!
 
Chrome and IE only for business sites that require it.
 
Interestingly, IE is getting better and better, especially when compared to before IE 9. IE 9 is really quite a good, fast browser.

And yeah, Chrome's winning point is simplicity no doubt.

Firefox, I don't know... I seem to have a bias against them, I feel it is a very slow browser, at least for me when I compared it to Chrome, IE, and Opera.
 
Firefox, what other ? ..... why, does exist other browsers ? ..... :p :D

And about the business sites, well, my online bank site was not working with firefox, at the start ..... i simply started to phone call their tech service every single day (also 2 or 3 times a day, sometimes :p) complaining that i cannot use their site for my business cause the site was not standard HTML made, and reporting them all the errors i was getting every time, and in less than 2 weeks (probably for the desperation :p :D), they changed it so it now works perfectly .....
 
I'm surprised to see how many people are still using FireFox. I thought that was more or less over. Nerds seem to invariably use WebKit or some derivative of it (like Chrome/Safari). Firefox is full of problems, slow, and an old code base (so I've heard).

I use SRWare Iron - which is basically Chrome with all the Google monitoring crap cleaned out.

I'd never touch Opera if you paid me. Any company that tries to proxy your web traffic is not a company I want to interact with. That's security out the window as far as I'm concerned. I don't want Opera tracking all my browsing history.

Well, maybe it's not super fast (i'm still using 3.6.something version too :p), but with adaware and noscript addons, it's still the safest one, imho ..... and i don't really care, if it take 5 or 6 seconds for open a page, instead 2 or 3, if the malicious scripts are all blocked :D

Haha, Opera only proxies your web traffic if you enable Opera Turbo, which compresses the website into a much smaller size and then sends it to you. If you have a fast connection, this doesn't ever need to be enabled. It's useful for slower connections or mobile phones.

I don't use any browser add-ons, and I've never had any problems via malicious scripts using stock Opera or Chrome and trust me, I visit bad websites sometimes :eg:

Those add-ons don't work anyway, if someone really wanted to steal your info, he/she can easily buy UD scripts injected by black hats. It would easily bypass those add-ons. These UD scripts/backdoors/worms are made by professional black hats, and they can be found for hire on certain forums I won't mention here. When I was in my rowdy teen years, I've gotten tons of passwords for Steam accounts from what you would think are "protected" systems.

Save your time and get a proper firewall & anti-virus like Kaspersky or ESET. Even though these can be bypassed as well, it is much harder.

I use also Kaspersky AV (not the internet security suite, that is a bit BS), and Comodo Firewall, both with "custom" rules and emptied "exclusions" lists ..... the add-ons are just useful for scripts that try to redirect my browser where i don't want, and insistent, oppressive ads (and yes, if you set them in the right way, they work ;)).

That what really lack in all those browsers, imho, is a module or option for "automatically reject" (or, also better, avoid any type of installation) of any kind of those plagues called "toolbars" ..... not for my PC, i never got hit from them :p, but i find a lot of clients, coming here claiming the pc got slow, and discover they have 3, 4, 5, or more "toolbars" (that i call "trollbars" :p) on each browsers ..... and the worse ones are the almost-omnipresent "babylon/conduit" bullshit ..... bleargh .....

God, I hate toolbars. Your clients probably didn't just allow the scripts to be installed, but installed those pesky programs which in the beginning or end asks you in small and often, misleading sentence structure, to install a toolbar with the application. Often times, PC-ignorant individuals will just click "Next" and have those spyware bars read all their information. Btw, most of these bypass AV's because they actually allowed them to be installed lol.
