Why were those sizes specifically picked? You must have had a reason J.

Cube copper diode modules will be really great also for 5.6 and 3.8 mm diodes.

Are new size modules only for 9mm diode?

Cube brass modules could be made by sawing the modules from Lasertack, X-wossee, or copper ones from LSP. I also thought of it, that it would be nice to have them available for combining and stacking beams.
But it does not seem that many want to combine - most builders want to do torches with single LD emitter - an easy way!

I'm thinking the 35mm is for 9mm, the 25mm is for 5.6mm , and the 20mm is for 3.8mm

I think ther all for 9mm diodes guys!

Nothing wrong with these brass module from Techood I'm pretty sure you can find them in copper also as I've seen them before, they do come in 9mm also!

Finally spent some time this week getting my mill I bought late last year up and running. This thing is awesome for making alterations to the modules I have in stock. I been making diode press sleeves. I am waiting on some larger milling flutes so I can mill out a small shelf in the back of the copper back halfs for drivers to be sinked to and I will be able to offer the big boys with drivers internal as well.

Here is how the copper sleeves came out.

Very nice Jordan! I guess I will end up buying a 35mm module soon. Speaking of which - are there any 2x26650 flashlights that accept 35mm modules?

Hi,
This is what we need a shelf milled into the back for a driver seat. I have a few sinks that i had made from a local shop for one of my projects. They came out well in AL and now going to try CU and have some other sinks made.. These are my AL sinks ...

Yep that is very similar but it will be a sideways install as the copper backs are not long enough. The seat for the 9mm diodes on the back half need to remain and have a decent amount of thickness so the best option is to make a shelf that the driver sits on sideways.

I only had a 1/8" flute and have been playing around with a scrap piece that a used a standard drill bit on destroying the bit and making a really crappy hole so disregard that it goes all the way through. The shelf will be similar to this but nice and clean edges. I have a 9mm flute coming and it will be just a 16mm longways cut 6mm deep.

Hi,
yes as your pic shows there is not enough depth so you have to go with the driver side ways . Anyway that will work fine also and the driver will still sit in the sink flush or a little beeper in the sink. Once you get the correct flute that will be a nice and smooth milled shelf. That is what we need to run these big diodes plenty of sinking for the diode and the driver, and you won't have to worry to much about the driver bottoming out in the host if it was to be fixed to the surface area. Good thinking Buddy can't wait to see the first prototype ..
