I know there are so many of these right now. But I swear! Mine has been in the works for a long time now, and I have just been keeping it under wraps. That said, I am letting this out so that a specific someone (teeheehee) can't monopolize on the market. Anyway, my driver is a low-component and adjustable output device.

I've sourced the parts and everything, and it turns out that I should be able to fit it all on a single, 16.2mm round, one-sided PCB! Theoretically, anyway. Here is the design.

Anyway, this has lots of promise ;) I'll keep you updated. I have all the parts on me, just need to wait until I can get a couple of boards made... then I can do some final tests and get them scoped.

So... specs?

This version is simply resistor-set current. Nothing special here. However, in a planned V2, it would have an adjustable current pot for 200mA-2A or so, undervoltage protection, OVERvoltage protection, and possibly thermal regulation if I can fit on the board.

Very good I can't wait to see how they work out.
if you need some beta testing done let me know ;)

It looks good and the diameter of the driver is spot on to use in the C6 host or bigger.

Not this particular design, but I have one that actually does work and it just needs fine tuning! Ordered parts and a board for easier tuning. I give it a month until I have a working, adjustable, high-current driver ready!

Good luck WM , i heard it was coming but its been quite some time.. when do u think you're going to do all the testing etc, and price range?

I've been preoccupied with work over the summer - haven't been able to access my workbench since May. Also, I put this on the back-burner while I was developing/producing the BlitzBuck.

However, now that the BlitzBuck is a good product underway, I have shifted my prototyping attentions to the BlitzBoost! It's still in the R&D part of development, but I estimate 4-6 weeks before everything is fully worked out and it is ready for production to begin.

Price range will be no higher than the BlitzBuck, as far as I can tell.
