Yellow pointer *Beam shots added*

Re: Yellow pointer *updated*

Truly amazing work, rog What will you dream up next?phoenix77/rob 8-)

Re: Yellow pointer *updated*

I've always had fume fog problems with super glue
I ended up using just a drip of superglue here and there for tacking, the majority of it is 5 minute epoxy for that very reason.... and you can build the epoxy up much more easily.

Next project on it's way...... I just need to work out how to build op-amps ::)......

New batteries arrived today, beam shots as promised......

I bow to the Master.
Aw shucks...... ::)

Another last one with camera and pointer 2 ft from target, I was trying to pick out the pulsed green that gives a yellow red dotted line when combined.

Fail....

Looks beautiful. I'm definitely going to be making one of these. Sigh. More ideas than time :)

rog, you are AWESOME!

cant get any better than this.

+1rep for sure

finally somebody did the hack we were all especulating when that laser came to dx!

awesome job.

can i get a rough estimate on the building price? (laser + cubes + filters used later + other stuff such as glue & wires)

PS: the glue work you did there was AMAZING, 100% clean.

do you think it's outputting 2-3mW?

Co sign on cost details! This is deffinately in mind for a future project...

You can kind of see little notches on the side of the beam showing where the green flashed on.

Host laser $30.07 http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12338
Glue $1.00
The filters are in effect free as they were a by-product of blueray builds.
The rest is from the scrap box (the front shroud was an air rifle muzzle).
You will eat batteries when setting up @ $2.50 a pair.

Use of a lathe will be the biggest stumbling block for most people.

Assuming you have built 2 bluerays and have a lathe total cost $35.00

You can kind of see little notches on the side of the beam showing where the green flashed on.
So you can! well spotted :)

+1rep for sure
Thank you ;)

WOW , that's way better aligned than I thought. :D How does it work at distances? Is the divergence of the red the same as the green? What about the starting diameter?

It is a good yellow from around 2ft out to 20ft..maybe. You can then see it as a tricolour with the beams overlapping. I have set it to use for presentations on a screen within that distance.

The beams are pretty well matched for diameter which is 3 to 4mm exiting the cap.

Holy sh!t!!! That is amazing!! I wonder who will start making these and when these will be made instead of spending so much on the regular yellow?
