hmm.. i wouldn't call it sacrificing power per say.. as you can always increase it.. it's more the battery capacity..
and that's really where the limits of the laser really are... you still wanna be able to decently use the laser for a period of time..
otherwise.. you can increase the power... and then blast at high power for a few minutes before the batteries die.. :crackup:

Some fresher batteries brought the output to 29mW I have ordered brand new ones then we'll see !!!

yes it's true cameras never get it right. Unless they cost $15,000.00 (reffering to the cost of a 473nm in diode form) the LD in my new ear ring laser is a PHR it is 405nm and no I didn't have to rip up my BR player I bought the diode from Scopeguy20 here on the forum. you have a fine day ! Pyr
