The phosphor + the blue diode = green laser diode???

Man, if it was only that simple i would poop bricks :P

The blue laser alternates between directly producing the image, and shining on a phosphor strip on a wheel. As the phosphor compound is hit, it fluoresces bright green (like DX glow-in-the-dark tailcaps hit by low power violet). I'm not sure if the light produced by this is coherent("laser light"), though (I doubt it is) - it doesn't need to be for the projection, though.

I figured it was something like that, I only wish it was that easy.

I'm sure we've all heard a noob say "can I put a blue lens in front of my green laser and get a blue laser?"

high tech over=== my head
