What lights do you have?

I am sure. Look at them through a diffraction grating, and you'll see far more than one color.

While the majority of the US uses HPS, a small number of US municipalities use LPS, specifically, San Jose California.

Many US towns had pushes to convert from MV to LPS in the 70s. It seems only a few in the US actually did so, and San Jose is one of them.

I actually have several LPS lamps, one that I have running in daily use is an 18w monochromatic LPS on the outside of my shed/lab.

Show me a filter that can filter this:

New light: Kai RQ (aka the "Spear Clone"). I'll do a detailed review later, right now I'll just post a picture.

Shed is probably around 150 feet away.

This HID came in recently for me. It's a PH40 from Polarion.

I've been a long time member at CPF, so it's taken a chunk of my wallet:D

I was into big-lumen setups for awhile but pretty much ended (well, paused...) with 30w HID, Cree MC-E and XR-E and SSC P7 lights.

I've got a Fenix TK10, L1D, L2D, P3D, some older SureFire LumaMax L2 and LumaMax L4's, as well as the colored (R, G, B, W) Surefire L1s. Beyond that, a warm temp Cree in an UltraFire host, some Chinese made MC-E and P7 18650 lights. And I still like my Underwater Kinetics HID as dim as it may be. :)

What would you recommend right now if someone wanted to really "go bright or go home" as far as high lumen portables goes?

What kind of budget? Polarion makes a 50W HID light if you've got the money for it.
