What do you drink ??

Lemonade :D

Being broke constantly is great for keeping drinking habits under control :D

That and I've never really seen the appeal to drink, stuff just tastes odd to me, and it's expensive too. Tax on alcohol over here is pretty crazy too.

As far as Vodka is concerned...

Ill have what she is having ;)

Ive got a 3 Liter bottle of Bacardi that sits on my shelf. Cant buy them in the states so ive been hesitant to open it.

Hehehe:p

I also enjoy Tito's vodka. For mixed drinks I don't see any problem with using Absolute, Svedka, or Smirnoff.

Lately I find myself drinking less and less frequently, not sure what that's about :undecided:

I dont really drink much any more, but for classy drinking I have glenlivet and if I want to get trashed I have Southern Comfort. I refuse to spend money at bars though!

I'm a Bourbon man with a penchant for Absinthe.

Jim Beam Devil's Cut is my favorite, but I also like their Jacob's Ghost. Can't stand regular beam though. I also like Wild Turkey 101 and Wild Turkey American Honey.

As for the harder stuff I like both Absente 134proof and Lucid 127proof absinthes. I prefer to sip it neat and not louche it.

The only cocktail I like is Gin and Tonic, heavy on the tonic (3:2 tonic to gin).

For me, it's gotta be 80 proof+ or it tastes like cool-aid... whiskeys, rum, tequila, and brandy. Sometimes a nice doppelbock or black ale.

^^ Hardcore.

I haven't tried Honey Jack, a friend of mine who's a seasoned JD drinker said it was disgusting.

But, blowing my own trumpet, anyone who's tried one of my Mojito's has been instantly turned to Bacardi ;)

Beer. Not the crap like Bud, Coors, PBR, etc. though. I'd drink this if I could find it in the US. I brought 6 cases of it back from Germany when I left.

Captain Morgan is what I usually drink when I have liquor. Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey is pretty good. It is the best whiskey I've had. It's about the only one I can stand. I like vodka if it is mixed with something. It is not something I can stand by itself after getting royally f***ed up the day after my 21st. I woke up in my room and wondered how I got there. I'm glad my friend had leather seats in his vehicle. That made clean-up easy.

Yeah, Scotch isn't my thing. I smoke enough as it is...I don't need more smoke in my whiskey.

Probably drinking from the wrong region, You probbaly want to stay away from the Islay Whisky's and the Highlands, try the Speyside or lowlands :)

I've tried a lot of scotches, and have settled on this one - drink it almost exclusively when not drinking beer. Occasionally I'll have a Glenlivet instead.

That's not too bad but my favourite is this

I rarely have a drink anymore. Seems like only time I do is at a family gathering or something like that. Drink of choice for the longest time has been a Cuba Libre, classic easy drink and the company was founded on my birthday, feb 4 so it makws sense. Zaney zombies are good as well along with hurricanes :) reminds me too much of my cruises!!!!!

I don't enjoy sweets... food or drink... so on the rare occasion I have a cocktail, it isn't something sweet (ie. Bloody Mary, vodka soda, gin and tonic, traditional old fashioned). These days, I mostly drink wine. Big reds are my favorite. When I drink liquor, it is almost always some form of whiskey. Great bourbons (like Garrison Bros) are not as frequent as cheaper blends (Crown Royal), but I love whiskey. Single malt scotches are special occasion libations for me.

So yeah, usually wine these days.

No good absinthe to be had in the US unfortunately. At least not that I'm aware of. Though to be fair I haven't looked in a while.

All the cheap imitation crap I've tried tasted more like old russian cold medicine.

Even have a friend who tried to brew his own - results were technically sound but so bad we were the only ones able to stomach it.

I got my Absinthe confiscated by customs coming in to Tennessee from the UK, they made me pour it away and said it was illegal :(

I might try to import some absinthe....that could be cool. I have a friend who did once.

Absinthe (REAL absinthe, with thujone, brewed from real grand wormwood, not neutral spirits that has had wormwood soaked in it) was legalized in I think 2007 after nearly a century of prohibition. It is completely legal to import, own, and buy, but only licensed importers are allowed to import it. Thankfully there are a number of internet order importers who specialize in this service.

I use Purchase Liquor Online! Online Wine Store | Buy Alcohol Online at DrinkUpNY . I ordered a bottle of Lucid a day before Hurricane Sandy hit NY (where they are located) and they STILL got it shipped out to me through the hurricane. They have some of the best absinthes in the world, I just can't afford anything above middle tier, haha.

Thanks for the info! I may need to pick up a bottle. How do you like the Lucid? Is it good? Is it actually hallucinogenic? +1 for the info :)

Thanks,
Isaac
