What do you drink ??

I'm 35 and can't handle all nighters anymore like i use to, after 6/7 drinks i'm normally alright the next day, was never a heavy drinker an average drinking night would be 6/7 pints, on a party night prob about 12-15 and have a not too bad hangover

Ok, I'll give you my timeline.

Age 15 = Started djing in the local clubs during the acid house explosion (1988-1992) and them nights I was consuming 6-8 pints of larger, and whatever LSD I could get my hands on, hangover = none.

20's into 30s , Drinking medium to large amounts of either JD or Bacardi...hangover = none.
Into my 40's , lager kills me off the next day so I dont drink it anymore. Bacardi or JD with sugared mixers = killer hangover , the same spirits with sugar free or diet mixers = no hangover, its the sugars that were doing it.

I don't really like drinking that much.. It's kind of fun there and then, but the next day is horrible. And my brain won't allow me to have fun without making me think of the consequences. I prefer alternative methods of intoxication. ;) But when I do drink, it's mostly wine or a vodka mix.

The alternative means... I just end up too relaxed, watching some movie, chatting about some complete BS for a few hours. Haven't done that in years :p

Iv'e had 2, 2 day hangovers , the second of which I actually considered going to hospital as I thought something was seriously wrong.

One was Vodka & Dr Pepper
The worst offender was Vodka & cherry coke (both sugared) , words cant explain how bad that made me feel for TWO days.

EDIT, what I forgot to say was, because of the vodka & cherry coke incident, I now NEVER drink sugared drinks.

Try it IE, you'll be astonished, and report your findings here, in the interest of science of course ;)

I will certainly do that.

Often times my drink of choice for parties ends up being Limeade, with vodka.

Coincidentally the limeade does a fantastic job of masking the vodka, but unfortunately at the price of it being very sweet.

Going camping over the weekend... going to stick to just cognac for the duration I think.

Edit: While we're on the subject;

I personally don't like sugar free drinks, so I guess I'll have to try drinking spirits straight :)
