Yes, I have found the simpler the better when talking with them. And diagrams can sometimes say what a translator program cannot.

I am happy to report that the second batch of lasers has arrived, and the second phase of testing and mailing will begin next week.

Im having too much fun with this to sit down and write a review =P. I went to a cabin party in the middle of nowhere last night with this, and people from miles around were showing up just to see wtf the green light was they could see from miles away. Great party, actually =D.

I fixed all of my issues with this other than the halo around the dot, which I guess wasn't my fault after all, since theres no possible way I got my finger in there to smudge the lens. Anyone have an idea of how to go about removing that? A green point resting inside a gigantic green circle isnt all that noticeable with a pointer, but 200+mW and its damn annoying..

yea, This thing is awesome. The review video just doesnt show it off right...

Im still baffled what to say when I am asked this question:

"OMG you paid $400 for a laser so you can burn stuff, see the beam, and reflect it off a spinning mirror to make shapes?"

I tell them it has other uses, but to tell you the truth, I dont know what to answer when they respond with:

"like what?"

anyhow, screw them, I AM HAPPY!!!

The tests for the second batch are almost done, here's a little photo I set up for the fun of it:

That's a total of over 1W of green..

drlava: dont forget to label under $10 or the customs will nick it and expect me to pay tax (i aint paying for no iraq war) so do you email people when theirs ship?

I get that a lot with my blue and green RPL's. People are like "OMFG THAT IS THE COOLEST THING EVER" and then they usually ask me where they can buy one and freak out when I tell them the price.

That's because they're not cool like us! :P But what ever you do, don't let your friends get a hold of them! They don't have the same sense of respect and caution as we do.

I do resell dx true 30 lasers to people for a small amount of profit if they really want a green after seeing my more powerful lasers. I show them the price of a 30mw on wickedlasers and they think they are getting a good deal buying a 30mw green from me for $40. Usually I give them a short lecture about not pointing it at airplanes and general safety before selling it. I never let other people use my good lasers unless I'm around to keep an eye on them.

I also sell the DX 30's.... only problem is the IR... I have to make sure they are not stupid enough to go looking for the green light bulb ([c] HM)
