HeCd lasers are also a popular tool to get 325nm. That are a lot of these hanging around the department where I work. They are used for photoluminescence, and since most everything done in our department is for the gallium nitride system, from near-UV to green, the 325 HeCd is a great tool for that since it can excite everything quite easily.laserwanabe said:so does this unit only put out 442nm? I remember first reading about HeCd and some were single line and other had other deep UV wavelengths.
None the less its a thing of beauty, and if you looking for a place to put it i have plenty of space :
There are some problems with it and it isn't always ideal, but it's a very popular tool around here, and in a lot of semiconductor labs.
