For that price, you can get a diode with higher power.

Yeah but the diode will have no where near the beam quality, no matter how many optics you put after it. :evil:

Kimmon is the cat's meow of HeCd lasers. Very nice units, but finding a power supply could prove to be very difficult. Making your own is a small possibility, but it is very involved due to all the control circuits that you would need.
