Looks like a ton of great stuff, but only time will tell the price. Seems like a hassle to have to register on the site. Plus you can't bid last minute because everything ends at the same time. I personally would much rather have reduced prices posted, with minimum $50 or $100 orders so that you could get a variety of great items for a great price.

But I'm sorry, I understand it's probably too late to try that method.

Hey, Do you have B mount 808nm diode.? I looked through everything and dint see any. But iam afraid i might have over looked it.

500mA -1W.

Looking for 1 diode.:)

Beware. Chris comes back every once in a while to peddle his crap. Dont buy anything from this guy. Chris has also been banned permanently from eBay, along with his other ghost accounts, and accounts made for him by friends. Paypay has also frozen his accounts.

He has 100 excuses why, but all the facts remain. Here are just a few examples.

Flea-bay bogus dealer....heruursciences
50W 808 diode-bar on ebay, worth the cash?

TJ - Thanks for the heads up. Bummer that I've already placed some bids. Hopefully they'll get trumped by someone else and/or perhaps the auction framework of proxi-bid / liquidation style sales will make this more controlled / less sketchy?

Otherwise, I'm semi-nervous about the bids I placed. To be honest, something felt off, I probably should have paid more attention to my gut on this one. The way some of those lots are described just didn't seem professional (or on par with what you'd expect from a source selling such components). Take this for example:
HIGH POWER MILITARY STAR WARS LASER DIODE ARRAY 40W 915nm | Proxibid®
(I didn't bid on that, but I looked at it)

That's a pretty interesting / serious looking piece of laser tech. Why the description keywords "Star Wars" and "Military"? And why the capitalized "BURNING BEAM!" in the write-up? That's what rubbed me the wrong way - sort of the same way I've been rubbed whenever I see ebay sellers adding phrases like "kipkay compatible" etc.

Anyway, thanks again for the heads-up (especially as someone who didn't know the history here) That first thread was the worst thing I've ever read. I've never seen so many banned users in a single thread before.

Some people have had bad experiences with him, agreed.

I've bought from him lots of times and he has always come through. Maybe just coincidence, don't know. But I've personally never had a problem getting the item.

However, he has been VERY slow in shipping one or two of my items and had to be reminded on one of them.

Just giving my personal experience.

I personally may bid on an item or two. And I hope I don't step on any toes, but I may bid against other members on here if it looks interesting. Nothing Personal.

Dont you guys use Google before buying anything?

Google

The stuff he is selling now is the remaining crap of his inventory. Which is the stuff thats broken, or no one wants to buy.

My biggest problem with him is HE is a KEYWORD SPAMMING SOB if there ever was one, it drives auction prices too high for things iI want by idiots that just see BURNING LASER in title does not matter what crap it is .

.....

If anything that I'm looking at goes above $30, forget it. maybe if we could get a 1 on 1 conversation with videos and timestamps of the advertised items...

anyone look at the tags for this thread?

"bankrupcy, diode, junk products, lasers, optics, sale, scammer"

How are the tags generated? I was under the impression that the person who makes the thread makes the tags.

EDIT: oh I see anyone can add to them

Most of these items he has had on ebid for a long time.

I read through the auction site.

As far as it appears these are in the hands of the auction company. But there is no warranty on any of it from what the auction site says. AND there is an 18% surcharge on all this.
