The M462 has an x-drive at 1.8A. The unit comes with a little fold out card manual that says that the AMP limit: 2.5A so unless I'm missing something there shouldn't be an issue. It also has a safety that I did test that says if you hold the button down for over 10 seconds it locks out and you have to push it 5 times again to reset. It also includes a nice little chart in it from 1.5 to 5 ohms on the vertices and 3-6V on the horizontal with color codings for optimal vaping. Will say that it's a sharp looking setup.
I'll check on the speckle pattern.
There is a Mega beyond the V2 such as V3 but then you get into it being a VV/VW unit and there might be issues like others have. I'm more interested in the Lrider mini lambo unit since it's the first one I've seen that is VV only with the replaceable batteries. According to the information posted by the seller on that battery it is supposed to handle a 5.6A continuous discharge rate and that is quite the output for a little 14500 if it's true. It basically cost me $11 for 2 of those batteries to come with it. Looks like he has only 1 battery left as you can't select 2 as an option anymore. The seller has no negative feedback and it looks legit. Shows it arriving on Tuesday but since it left yesterday it might show up Saturday. I just looked it up somewhere else and it's supposed to give you a fully regulated output such as 6V regardless of battery level (obviously up to a certain point). The unit has the nicer features such as a resistance checker also. Looks like a very good price from that seller.
I've found it very difficult to find straight VV units with up to 6V output and I'm just glad I found these.
Anyways, just be aware of the Fasttech deadline plus I'm guessing that mail stops moving in China also but that's just a guess. Hey, at least I found them and they are available somewhere.
By the way, in the V v2 manual it mentions there's also a regular one with the same ratings but it only has a 650mAh battery. They are actually called "REGULAR" and "MEGA" versions.
My bet is there's units out there that are VV/VW that will work fine and are not PWM but I don't have the resources to find out. If anyone finds ones that don't strobe we would sure like to know. is being PWM a cheaper way of making something and more expensive units probably won't have it?
I read a few reviews on these specific units and in them they state how great and unusual it is to have ones that can go to 6V but also how difficult it is to actually find them in Canada and the US so my troubles at coming up with them are justified
Just checked usps tracking and the Lrider will be delivered has a possibility of being delivered today as it hit the main distribution center late last night although it is more likely to be tomorrow.
Now usps says delivery is today and it looks like they have found my missing package
We shall see.....
This is what it looks like with no readable mW with my Ophir with slight movement because even though I had the camera on a tripod I held the unit myself:
It was taken with the 3-element but not focused so that you can still see the "bar" in the center. Raising the Voltage to 3.9V it looks the same to my eyes but obviously too bright to take a pic at 35mW or so to compare with nothing to block the output.
Mail should come any minute now and I'll have the other unit to verify works the same way after I charge the batteries (only takes one though). Have to investigate the batteries to make sure they are legit. From what I have read so far there always seems to be a visible way to indicate this that doesn't require load testing but we will see. Amazed that the unit was ordered on Tuesday after 3PM from Washington state and it's being delivered Thursday in N.Y.
Got the stuff and the new Lambo adjusts easier than the Mega due to the buttons being above the "on" button and appears to work fine. Batteries appear to be legit at this time. Have to go lay down but I'll try and post a few pics later. See the seller of the lambo now shows 1 left and you can get it with 2 batteries now.
