The Arctic isn't THAT bad

IIRC, these "3000mAh" UltraFire batteries tested out the worst under load of any UltraFire battery

Peace,
dave

In my experience, ultrafires do 70% of their sticker capacity on a good day.

No, I'm just kidding. Thanks for the unbiased opinion. Contrasting opinions are always good.

Well, like everyone else here, I am not a huge fan of WickedLasers. I've had my arctic for a while now (friend sold to me). My arctic will hit 770mW Max. On the other hand, I ran several LPM tests on it in the past 2 days, I came up with some interesting results.

One big reason I enjoy this laser, is the fact that it is like several different powered lasers in one. Alot of range in the power of the different modes.

Although 770mW is nothing to drool over, it's still a well-built, solid unit from what I have gathered.

Stock Battery, (red cell, came with the unit):

Low Power: 158mW, 159mW
Low Strobe: 61mW, 63mW
High Power: 751mW, 730mW
High Strobe: 484mW, 493mW

Ultrafire Battery 3000mAh BRC 3.7V, (red cell pictured below):

Low Power: 181mW, 185mW
Low Strobe: 137mW, 134mW (wow)
High Power: 769mW, 770mW

All readings were taken after a full charge. I did 2 sets of tests for each
.
I was shocked with the low power strobe strength increase with this Ultrafire Battery. I also think it could be a knock off ultrafire. I noticed some spelling mistakes on the battery label itself. I dont know if anyone else knows the answer to this but let me know if your ultrafire batteries look like this (pictures)

Again, I don't want to try and 'sell' the idea of someone buying and Arctic. I just wanted to post this info on the different modes and their power output. Just something interesting I thought I would share.

Thanks everyone :thanks:

I love the battery BS. Environmentally friendly my ass! Li-ion production is extremely hard on the environment. Just go to Juhai out side of HongKong. It's a toxic slew of battery manufacturers and ewaste. One of the biggest polluters are Lithium battery manufactures not to mention that Li-ion production also is dangerous to the people making them.
---->anything but green.

The diode looks like the A130's series from that output. However I know I get more output with my 1st generation 445nm diodes.
