Hey All,
Here are my Latest 2 builds that are My Favorite. So I figured to put them in one thread.
:eg:BIG Black & BIG Stainless:eg:
The BIG Stainless Build:
This a >2.1W 445nm laser that runs off 2x 18350. The Driver is my X Driver V6 nd using Jayrob's 405-G-1 Lens. I will be adding my custom Mode board to this build once i get some more made.
The Laser is very stable and the way designed the heatsink seems to pull the heat down from the head and out the fin's of the Host.
I Made a Custom focusing ring for it but i feel it looks better without it. I currently working on a new design one that i think will work and be much nicer.
Here is the Build....
After pushing in the Driver board i know have a clean pill/driver setup. This is big pill so will keep the driver extra cool.
Testing to make sure everything is still working properly and to show the currant this diode is running at. This is a Freak Diode and you will see a little latter.
Connecting the diode to the driver and adding shrink tubing.
Now its time to screw everything together. First i screw the pill in all the way.
Then its time to fit the heatsink in. THis heatsink is Made little different like i mentioned about. I drilled for a press fit tight module heatsink. I added the setscrew just to make it more tighter.
Pushed the heatsink in. Then i screwed on the the head ring.
Now its time to screw in my lens. Which in this case im using 405-G-1 lens.
DONE.!!!

The BIG Black Build:
In this build this is a >2W laser running off 3x 18650 in parallel to keep the voltage at 4.2V but the capacity of three 18650 together. Which iam using 2600mah Sanyo cells from LarryDFW. THe Driver is a custom boost drive running at 1.8A. Iam using a 405-G-2 lens in this build.
THis laser is also very stable. Never dropping bellow 1.9W within its duty cycle of 1-2 minutes. THis heatsink has the same design as the one above in the stainless build and i feel that this pulls the heat down away from the head nd module to the fin's of this host.
Battery life is Ridiculous in this build. Ive been using it alot nd it barley left a dent. Still at 4.18v after 3 weeks.LOL:crackup:
Made this custom focusing adapter to make the build look Finished slick and i think this design was exactly what it needed.
Here is the Build.....
Here is the Heatsink nd custom focus adapter that i made for the host. As well as the battery holder.
Chunky heatsink and large focus adapter. Doesn't look that big in picture but trust me its big.
Custom boost drive getting ready to wire it up and thermal adhesive it to the pill.
I decided to attach it under the pill rather on top. I think this leaves a much cleaner build.
Waiting for it to set.
Now it was time to connect it the blank contact board.
I then screwed in the pill all the way in.
Then I attached the diode to the +/- diode leads from the driver.
Then I screwed the retainer ring on to hold the contact board in place.
Pushed my diode into the press fit module heatsink and getting ready to close it up.
Screw the front ring on.
DONE.!!!!!
