That's not really an "or" question. If you're looking for a burner laser you should probably get a full IR laser since you can get massive power for very little cost. These don't have huge amounts of IR.. maybe 10-20% of the total power is IR.

Well the reason I was asking about IR was because sometimes pen lasers can have a lot of IR instead of green light

Mine can burn thin plastic unfocused but it can't pop a balloon.
Focused, it will light a sharpied match, burn dark stuff and it easily pops balloons.

How did you focus your pen laser?

So you pulled the cap off and could adjust the lens? I did that on my 405 but didn't want to mess up a 532 if it wasn't possible.

I use a magnifying glass.

I also have a 405 that I removed that cap to get to the adjustable lens but haven't done that with the 532 either.

Yea, I thought "he got a greenie super over-spec" that focuses and i didn't??? Glad it was cleared up, about the magnifying glass. No way I'm taking mine apart and fiddling with it! :tsk:

None of these are focusable. I pried the cap off of one of my 405's because I knew the colminating lens was adjustable if you could get it unglued from the threads. I believe that the greens optics are more complex and I don't know if they can be focused once the pen is taken apart.

One day? I dropped this guy a PM and an E-Mail more than a week ago, so ether he hasn't been here or on his email in a week, or he just doesn't care. About the 0 rep thing, I'm not trying to sell stuff over the Internet. You basically make a statment that was totally retarded. What if I ran into a Mickdonalds and told everyone they can't be my Doctor because they have no training? It would be retarded.
