The greens are MUCH more visible at all times.
But the violet light emitted by the bluray's is very distinctive.
IMO the bluray's are 1/4 as bright as the greens.
Both are awesome.

Its a violet 405nm beam, as far as I can tell. The beam is kind of hard to see, even outside with a lamppost across the street, but not impossible. Definitely no match for the green one though.

But it will still feel hot pointing ay skin, about ad much as my 50mw green does. Havnt tried popping any balloons yet though.

The violets do look way less bright (might even say weak) but if you put a 5x magnifier about 1" in front and focous about 4" past that, they burn tiny spots and make smoke (about the same results with the green super os)...
Also have a florscent orange glove and when I shine at it, the dot gets super bright!
Variose colors of florescent paint surfaces should react with bright reactions when the dot hits them.
Lots of fun to see how different materials fluoresce. I think thats what makes the 405nm violets so interesting.

I refocused one of my 405's and can pop balloons and light matches at 12". The beam is almost invisible in doors (it will show up in a pic more than to the eye).

My Super Overspec Greens are in the mail so I'm not sure about them.

I thought I'd just try popping a balloon with one of swims blu-rays (tested @ 70mw).
I've got some strong black balloons for helium and its just gone through 2 of them in 1 - 2 seconds (each) from 15 feet away.

I wasn't expecting that at all :D

Mine can burn thin plastic unfocused but it can't pop a balloon.
Focused, it will light a sharpied match, burn dark stuff and it easily pops balloons.

That's not really an "or" question. If you're looking for a burner laser you should probably get a full IR laser since you can get massive power for very little cost. These don't have huge amounts of IR.. maybe 10-20% of the total power is IR.

So you pulled the cap off and could adjust the lens? I did that on my 405 but didn't want to mess up a 532 if it wasn't possible.
